Active GB: Four Suits DOLPHIN BLUE vs. SKY BLUE Poll

DISCLAIMER!!! SKY BLUE TENDS TO HAVE MORE SPLIT SPOT ISSUES THAN DOLPHIN BLUE (per BCC)

Okay, so jjbcentral is working on the final set of mock-ups with the primary and secondary chips that will be available.

I heard from BCC that Sky Blue is available as a base color for the 25¢ chip, so, this is the last poll to determine whether those who voted for the original Blue 25¢ chip (dolphin blue 412 w/ canary yellow & coral) would rather have it with a SKY BLUE BASE or DOLPHIN BLUE BASE.

If you voted for the original blue, and feel strongly that you will not end up purchasing if it changes to a sky blue base, then please make it known by posting (nicely)!

Chips: (I realize that the inlay is not the correct inlay, but as mentioned before I wanted give a more realistic look to the chip than leave it blank)

I have to be honest, I'm digging the sky blue more and more every time I look at it...Still really like the dolphin blue though as well.

Man, I hope everyone makes the decision easy and there isn't a tie breaker needed!!!

Not involved with the group buy, but had I had the scratch, I would've said the original blue wasn't doing it for me...sky blue hands down.

Is anyone worried about the Split Spot issue with the sky blue base???

I don't know how much of an issue it will be, but BCC mentioned that they would tend to split more than the dolphin blue base.

I'm really torn now...Also, it doesn't seem like anyone who voted in the original blue poll has voted in this one!!!

i was posting these pics anyway (before you mentioned the split issue)
--i thought the splits were a protege 1x issue
but maybe its the base like BCC mentioned to you
spit spots never bother me in any chip; but i am very tolerant of many chip issues that others squabble about non-fn-stop all the time

Wow, that's alot splits.
It bothers me not because how it looks so much but because it's not suppose to be like that.

those are also 614 spots which are a notorious edge spot configuration for split spots...

btw, most of the splits are the lt blue color (dolphin?)---splits depend on the spot color too, the darker (horizon) is not nearly as much.

if you look at the protege dolphin ND w white spots you can see that the white is an outie color.
Opposite of split --as a spot it expands in the solid dolphin blue base.
