UPDATE 3/26:

THE OFFICIAL ORDER THREAD IS POSTED!!! --> HERE

-------------------------------------------3/22

The chips can be made in 39mm (normal diameter) or 39.6mm (oversized diameter)...I put up a POLL
Watch for the official order thread coming soon! I haven't heard much about any more alternates to the 25¢ chip, so the chocolate "minty" chip that was proposed is leading the way unless I see posts otherwise!

------------------------------------------3/21
I got great news from BCC today!!!

Here are the questions I asked with answers in red:
1. Is Sky Blue okay to use for a base color - YES

2. Can any one of the inlays be put on any one of the chips decided on as long as we reach 500 of that chip? (i.e. can someone put a 25¢ inlay on the blue chip, while someone else wants the $1 inlay on that same blue chip?) - YES

3. If we added a non-denom inlay, could someone order an entire set with just that inlay on all the predetermined chips? - YES

4. Is the 414/818 edge spot available? - YES

5. Is the 8V edge spot available?
- NO

The pink, yellow, & black chips are set...blue, white, & fire/red chips to go!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Alright boys and girls, on to Round #2!

jjbcentral got the flame mold and TFP "club" mold mock-up with the proposed cash set.

This Poll:
1. Is to determine chip colors and edge spot designs
2. Is to determine what mold we want to use
3. Is to determine who would need a $100 inlay in order to participate
REMEMBER: I allowed multiple voting, so that people can vote YES for both molds if it doesn't make a difference to them.

REMEMBER: These proposed chips are what meddler and I have come up with, and they are a place to start.

REMEMBER: When voting, please remember to vote on whether you would or would not purchase a set AS IS. If you would not, think about exactly what you would need in order for the set to be a go for you, and post the NECESSARY changes. I anticipate we're all going to have to make some compromises for this decision to be made, but I also don't want this to turn in to the TMSC project where we are looking at each chip individually...think about flow (which I think we have nice one with the base color and edge spot designs as is now, but that's my opinion!)

INLAY DENOMS: We can add a $100 inlay if there is enough interest. Each extra inlay past the first 5 is $75. We will gauge interest on a non-denom inlay after we know we can move forward from this and I hear from BCC.

MOLD:
1. Flame mold has no extra charge, chips would be $.85/chip.
2. TFP "club" mold will cost an extra 5¢/chip plus an initial $200 rental fee. (this actually saves us $50 once we hit 5000 chips over having a 10¢/chip fee...thank you TFP!)

Again, remember to take a second and look at the set as a whole and ask yourself if you would buy the set AS IS...if not, try to think about only that which would cause you to change your mind and purchase the set, and post those suggestions in this thread. We'll do other polls as needed for chips, and majority will rule.

Okay, here are the two mock-ups!

I'm not involved but just wanted to point out that in the mockup of your molds, it appears the flame mold and club mold have the same diameter for the recessed area but in real life they do not. Club is more like 1-1/16" wide and flame is 1-1/8" wide.

Re: Four Suits BCC Inlay Edge Spotted Set...Round #2

Just wanted to add that the club mold weighs 10.0 grams.
I believe the flame mold would be somewhere close to 9g.
I've got a set of TFP and aside from casino paulsons, are the heaviest clay chip I own including MGK, and even samurai palace if I remember right.

Also, I've pledged to contribute $100 towards the club rental fee so that will help reduce overall chip costs a tad.

I think the colors, especially on the $1 chip dont work well chip to chip. I think there should be a better blend of colors and as for the $1 chip I think it needs to be totally rethought.

Re: Four Suits BCC Inlay Edge Spotted Set...Round #2

i'm not involved, though if permitted, i might buy a 100-200 chip set, but i think you guys can do better on the 5. not poo-pooing it, but the colours are pretty much the same as the quarter. wouldn't that annoy you in pots?

i find the colour scheme excellent, but the 20$ to be a bit out of place because of the darkness of it all.

the 1$ is absolutely insane. courage and i played so much with those colours for the t1000 of the skc tourney set. plum, coral, salmon, almond. we played with those colours ad nausem. this the final result as you know.

i have not included suggestions as i am in no way a big player in this gb. i do however wish you the best of luck.

Yeah I really am not a fan of the 5...mostly b/c of the quarter. I understand you want the quarter and that may work but I think the 1 and 5 both need to be redone. I'll give it some thought and try to post suggestions.

Re: Four Suits BCC Inlay Edge Spotted Set...Round #2

To me, the chip that stands out as 'not fitting' is the 25c chip -- the colors just don't flow with the set, although the spot choice (not colors) is good for set spot progression. Everything else seems to go with each other, although the $1 spots would not work so well with a red $5, if that alternate chip is planned.

The $20 could easily transfer to a $100 chip for those who want one, as could the $5 easily move over to be a $20 if a red $5 (and different $1 spots) were used.

Close, but no cigar.

Ok, let's keep the quarter since Smitty really really really likes it. I agree the other chips could use help.

Who's good at developing chip colors?

Re: Four Suits BCC Inlay Edge Spotted Set...Round #2

I am currently looking to buy into a new set. I had hoped to get my own group buy going but would actually consider getting in on this. The only thing is, and I mean no offence but quite frankly the mock-ups are hideous. The inlay is soo sweet. The $1 rocks because the colours you've chosen accent the tones in the graphic. If only you could echo that for the rest of the chips....
