Chips: 256 | | | Group Buy Poll for August I'm not sure how to make the voting options appear cuz this is a first for me and I'm also new here at Chiptalk. I'm still prototyping my chip design but I'm pretty solid on what I want the inlay to look like. It will be a fantasy casino style chip similar to The Venetian and Vineyard style casino chips. The question I have is, what kind of chips are people going to want to order, as this seems to be the major concern bouncing around in the new group buy threads.
So, assuming you'd like the design, what type of fantasy chip would you personally be interested in buying right now?
1) Ceramics
2) Clay Chips
3) Sorry, but fantasy chips are played out
4) If I like the design, I wont care
and
a) limited availability cash game (group buy exclusive)
b) NCV set
c) Tourney set w/ denom's
d) If I like the design, I wont care
Thank you all for your feedback and any suggestions (especially on running group buys) would be appreciated. |

I think, like Rak said, you might want to slow down.
Most folks here know how to get their own customs at a good price. The sponsors on this site are all pretty terrific and already offer us hard-to-beat pricing.
As far as I can tell, most of the GB's organized in this forum are intricate negotiations to provide chiptalk members with the ability to purchase a product they would not be able to get on their own.
Some people do design their own custom chips and offer other chiptalk memebers the opportunity to purchase their chips too. I would recommend that you design a chip that you like, and then present it to everyone for their feedback/interest. |

Chips: 256 | | | Re: Group Buy Poll for August Thanks for your feedback guys, I totally appreciate it all. Yeah I know I have little experience with group buys anyways, but this was more an idea I had that if I did design a custom chip, would people be more receptive to clays or ceramics, cash or tourney set. But all of the feedback here is appreciated. Seems like a lot of interest has popped up here and elsewhere regarding wsop 2006 chips, but thats not what i was talking about here, but obviously this was just a poll to gauge interest, and apparantly that seems to be the only real response regarding what people are interested in getting. Looks like I'll have to find someone to do some mockups and do a lot more research b4 I can gauge interest, but thats all i was really intending to do, not really trying to start a group buy on an idea nobody knows about. | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
