Would you pay extra for your Bellagios to get OTB and Marduke a set?

It was Marduke's concept that led to the Bellagio chips (remember the "T"?). And OTB put in some serious work -- I don't even understand the language he used, I just know the chips turned out great for his efforts.

But neither Marduke or OTB have the cash to buy a set of the chips they helped create. Would you be willing to add a little extra onto your order to get OTB and Marduke a set?

I believe Joe already offered OTB a 500-chip set. If we could raise another $500, we could give OTB a 1,000 set (500 from Joe + 500 from us) and Marduke a 1,000 set.

If everyone would pay an extra penny per chip ($10 on an order of 1,000 chips), with an order of 50,000 chips, we could raise the $500 needed. Even a lesser amount would give both OTB and Marduke a nice "thank you" from the group.

So would you contribute?

I like a flat amount that participants can decided the amount of their contribution--such as a sliding scale. I'm justifying my purchase by the per chip amount, so I don't want to do anything that increases my per chip amount.

Yeah, I don't think anything would be refused... If you are getting 2000 chips, but only want to give $5 total... that would still work.

And obviously, you don't have to contribute.

Joe won't be coordinating this collection. If you are interested in contributing, post it in the thread, (how much and who for) or PM it to me if you want to remain anonymous.

I'll update the amounts pledged and if it turns out we have enough, I'll place the order with Joe.

Re: Would you pay extra for your Bellagios to get OTB and Marduke a set?

I will happily pledge 50 chips for OTBs set. He has done some amazing work for this GB and should be rewarded for it IMO. If 9 more people pledge 50 chips and Joe comes through for his 500 already committed, then OTB gets his 1000 chip set. If we can't get nine more members to do this let me know and I'll make up the difference.
