**CLOSED** "Show 'Em" chip New version or original?

Updated new pic with apostrophe. and realized I picked the wrong choice when I voted. It stands at 3 to 14 for the new version.

Thank you 2_hotty for your work on these.

Original:

New:

2-hotty was kind enough to re-do the pic to brighten up and remove the paint filter from the original. I am putting them up for a vote as to which one we should use.

Since we are getting close to taking payment and ordering the chips (hopfully by this weekend) I am only putting up the poll for a couple of days.

Although I like them both I am voting for the new design. I think it will really make it pop when made "chip size".

There will be an Apostrophe before the 'EM and I am still working on getting a mock up showing if a marbled edge can be done.

Thanks

Ranman

I added the apostrophe. So you can edit the post above.

Re: "Show 'Em" chip New version or original?

voted for the new.

I just noticed the black ring around the face edge. If we are going to continue the blue marble around the rolling edge, should the blue marble extend all the way to the edge?

Re: "Show 'Em" chip New version or original?

I like the shadowy look of the old chip but I think the apostrophe should be added there too. I think the "real" look of the hand in the new chip takes away from the design. Specifically, I like the cards in the new version but I like the hand in the old version...but if picking between the two, I'd choose the old version.

It may be too late in the game (but I can't resist throwing it out there anyway), but how about droping the "You Must" and just have "Show Your Cards"? The way I plan on using this chip is that each player will have the option to purchase a single "Show 'Em" chip for $3 or so. You can use the chip at any point on an uncontested hand BUT the person you are using the chip on has the option to show their cards. If they decide to show their cards, they recieve the show 'em chip and can cash it in for it's value after the tourney is over. Also, only the peron that "paid" to see the hand would actually get to see the cards. If others want to see the same hand, they would have to "pay" to see it as well by using their show 'em chip. Since showing your hand will not be required, I would prefer the chip without the "You Must" on there.

I think making it optional to show your hand and actually paying the person something for showing the hand is the best way to use this chip. I don't want to require the players to do anything that's an addition to the game and not part of the rules...especially showing cards.

Re: "Show 'Em" chip New version or original?

Why have "Show 'Em" and "Show your cards" on the chip though. It just seems awfully redundant. If you are going to take out "you must" then I'd rather just see nothing at the bottom of the chip.

Just my $0.02

good point. All the text at the bottom is redundant in my opinion, but I'm buying either way.

The must part doesn't make sense, you should leave this off so it leaves endless possibilities on how you would use this chip JMHO!

Re: "Show 'Em" chip New version or original?

With the way I plan on using the chips, the perfect text on the bottom for me would be "Cash For Cards"...BUT I do realize that this ship has already sailed
