The following is just my .02, devils advocate, noob rambling...

I am still waiting to hear from NJ about the Blue Marble rolling edge (possible or not) and was trying to picture that edge in contact with the face's blue border. I am concerned that it may look odd if the rolling edge and border don't match well enough. On the bounty it wasn't too much of a concern because the colors were so dark but if the shades of blue are not the same and the marbling doesn't match, it could look funny IMO. If the black ring was included it would act as a "buffer" to make any color differences not so obvious. Of course my lack of knowledge in the chip making process may make this paragraph a moot point and a waste of typing .

Any thoughts?

As for the text, it is not too late to make changes but we do need to make a decision since the time is approaching quickly to start taking orders and getting these made .

One thing Jim at NJ told me was our artwork needs to be as clear and sharpe as possible due to the fact that adding text "degrades" the image somewhat.

I am for dropping the lower text all together and just going with "Show 'Em" (but I like it the way it is too). This will leave the chip with the flexability to be used as the owners see fit. I think the Show 'Em and the 7-2o gets the point accross that you want to see the bluff (or nutz ).

Just food for thought

That's a good point ranman, I did notice some off colors on the bounty face edge with some of the chips.

Re: "Show 'Em" chip New version or original?

I agree that the "You must show your cards" is redundant. I think dropping it would enhance the appearance and add some flexibility to the different ways people intend to use the chip.

Re: "Show 'Em" chip New version or original?

The original design was to have the edge the same color as the chip (black). No marble effect. That's why the ring floats inside the edge of the chip. Doesn't matter to me though, however you guys want it.

Here it is without the bottom text:

Re: "Show 'Em" chip New version or original?

I voted for the new design.
I like the idea of dropping that redundant text at the bottom. But new new mockup looks a litle empty there now... maybe just lower the hand/cards a bit on the chip?
I also think it would look best without the black ring around the perimeter, assuming the blue marbling would not be too horrendous a mismatch between the ring and the rolling edge.

I also like it without the bottom text.

Re: "Show 'Em" chip New version or original?

I'll go with whatever is decided on, but that last one above 2_Hotty is pretty good. I'm good with the bottom text or no bottom text. Even without the bottom text it's an attractive chip.

Re: "Show 'Em" chip New version or original?

I like the new 'no-text' version better. Total no-nonsense approach. Chip gets flipped at the player, he/she knows what they have to do.
(if your looking to fill the blank space, how about enlarging the hand and cards, making the cards more of the focus, and having less of the hand showing. Might help with any loss of resoution that might occur when the numbers (7,2) are actually printed. Just a thought)

I think that'd be good, less hand, more cards. No offense to the great hand model.
