TR King Group Buy (Edgespotted)... Edgespots

We need to make a decision on the number of edgespots we will use in this group buy. Obviously, the fewer edgespot patterns we use, the cheaper the chips will be. My idea is to not use the 3 half-moon pattern or the 3x1 stock pattern. You can see these below in the 25¢ chip and $1 chip, respectively. We can still do a 3x1 using the 3x2 pattern and having one of the colors be the base color of the chip.

Are you sure? I thought someone said TR King didn't use the base color for edge spots when we were considering the spot configurations of the Nevada Jack $1000 early on in the old thread. Have you confirmed this option with them? If they don't there's not much need for the 25c thread.

Also, I know it's obvious in your picture, but the edge spot on the yellow $1000 is not white, it's probably off-white or gray. Just in case the people getting the yellow want it exactly like the Rounders one. On that note, have you ordered samples of all the colors?

I'm not sure. I'm gonna to talk to Dennis on Monday and ask him about this. If we can't do that then, depending on how the edgespot poll goes, the $0.25 chip will just be blank. If the edgespot poll picks more than 4 styles, then the $0.25 chip will have 3 half-moons or a 3x1. If it's 4 styles or less, the chip will be blank and whatever color receives more votes. It won't be a 4x1, let's just put it that way.

As for samples, no I haven't ordered them yet. I just got flung into this less than two days ago. I'll order them when I talk to TR King Monday.

Im not a fan of the stock spots. They look different by going all the way to the inlay. The half-moons on this pic looks like crap, but Ive seen a few that I thought were pretty cool. Ill vote for either 4 or 5 patterns, but will wait to see some more half-moon pics.

If you all haven't read the main thread... we CAN make a 3x1 using the 3x2 pattern but substituting the base color for one of the edgespots. Because of this, I'm eliminating including the stock 3x1 pattern as an option. There's no point. If we want 3x1 chips, I want the spots to match the other spots and not come all the way into the inlay. I feel the same way about the 3 half-moons (since we can do a 3x2 using the same egespot color for both spots), but I'll let the poll finish tomorrow night and if the demand for the half-moons is overwhelming, we'll go from there.
