THeyre wrinkle free- just dont wrinkle them
THey also waterproof- but dont spill a drink on them
Otherwise they should last a long time
Seriously- I would try an iron and a sheet on top of the topper

I would try putting it between a couple books and setting it on a heater vent for a day first. Also I found this via google: Tip:-- If you use neoprene sleeves, try using Orvus paste to launder them. This is a product that quilters, knitters, weavers etc. use all the time for fine washables like wool. It is very non-soapy and probably non-allergenic (I think). You would use it when you normally use Woolite. I have found it great to launder the neoprene sleeves for my husband. I soak the sleeve that is mentioned in tip #1 overnight (to help remove wrinkles in neoprene) in Orvus paste (about 1/2 tsp. in warm water in the sink), then rinse it out the next morning, roll in a towel to remove excess water, then lay flat to dry. I've had very good results using this technique and hope that you will too. Best wishes, G. ((Editors Note: great tip! BTW "ORVUS" is a equine (horse) shampoo. If folks have difficulty finding it, besides checking quilt/fabric stores and catalogs they can probably find it at a farm supply store such as Agway or Southern States, or a tack shop.)) |

Chips: 2,454 | | | Re: Custom ChipTalk.net Neoprene Table Tops - GALLERY THREAD I brought mine to a somewhat bi-weekly game held at a friends house. I bring the chips and the cards, he hosts. But we've always used his dining room table and passed the deal.
The end result was that everyone liked it and voted to keep using it. The cards flew well over it. It protected his table from the chip bangers. Also, I don't know if was the blue top or that we hadn't play for a month but for a bunch of limping, tight, passive players (just teasing guys) the first 1/2 hour was surreal. In the first 4 hands we had 4 all-ins. We then lost half the players in the first 1/2 hour. It was a blast, I haven't heard that much yeller and shouting in a long time.
Anyways, here's the photos |

Chips: 2,986 | | | Re: Custom ChipTalk.net Neoprene Table Tops - GALLERY THREAD Well, mine (and some other Torontonians') arrived yesterday and we got a couple in play tonight. We used to use the green Target neoprene toppers ("Vegas Classics"). Well, these are very different. The Target toppers are compatible with velcro, and cards slide slowly on them as on felt. With the ChipTalk.net toppers, we spent the first orbit or so just trying not to fire the cards off the table! Super speedy slick! It seemed to slow down after a few hours... and we weren't sure if that was because we were adjusting to the speed or if it was legitimately slowing down... until we were packing up for the night. Then we figured it out.
Anybody else notice some SERIOUS STATIC DISCHARGE when you pick it up off the table afterwards! I'm talking several reasonably painful electric shocks, over and over, while trying to flip it and roll it up. Must have been from the plastic cards (Desjgn) sliding across it all night (and hence why the cards started to "stick" a bit better after 8+ hours). It should come with a warning!
All said, I'm pretty happy with them. If I'd never had the Target toppers, I'd have nothing to complain about. But I must admit I wish I could take the texture (and perhaps thickness, although that isn't as big an issue) of the Target toppers and combine it with the looks of the ChipTalk.net toppers.
*EDIT* Oh, and I took lots of pics that I plan to post this weekend, assuming I find time. |
