did anybody notice that the Blue Sands 39mm chips are a little different than than the Zen chips? The Blue Sands 39mm chips are cut nice and sharp on the edges and not beveled like the Zens.
I actually noticed that last night - I noticed it in reference to the 43mm Blue Sands chips though. I had a stack of 10 of each type out for shuffling while I was playing online (I just like typing that I had a stack of 10 of each for shuffling ).
I noticed that the cash set chips felt a bit different than the tourney chips - especially when doing the "twirl" trick. I thought at first it was simply the diameter difference but after looking at the edges closer I noticed the beveled edge on the tourney chips.
I will say that the Matsui chips as a whole are amazing - but they are definitely heavier than Paulsons (I need to weigh them to verify my claim). I like the way they sound and shuffle a lot though. I need to take more pics when I get home

oh, that's just *not* nice.....what the hell, man....
Although beveled edges probably make them much easier for me to shuffle.....

It's just the difference between the Matsui 39mm and the Matsui 43mm. If you look at the Zen's, the .25-100 have sharp edges, and the 500 and 1000 (the 43mm's) have the beveled edges.
So, the Blue Sands cash set will have the sharp edges, the tourney set will have the beveled edges.
the 39mm Zens that I have have beveled edges. It's not as much as the 43mm but it's there. I tried to take pics last night but I can't take good close ups.

Really? I didn't have a full set of Zen's, but the samples I found had a damn sharp edge.. I never compared them right up next to the 1000's that I had, but I specifically remember how the 1000's were bevelled..
There are actually differences among the edges on the 39mm chips. The .50 & the $1 have razor sharp edges while the .10, .25, $5 and $20 have slight bevels. There is also a very slight difference in the thickness. If you stack each mold 50 high you can see a very small difference in the height of the stacks.

Is this because of the different molds? I like them just the way they are, I just happened to notice while playing with both.
I would also like to know if it is different molds, is it an opption they offer or is it just different batches? If you know if not do not worry about it.
