Re: "Private CardRoom" Hot Stamped Paulsons ARRIVE!

Received mine last night.....what an awesome chip. I've already determined I didn't order enough (450 for me and 50 for MOK).
One thing I did notice (which is not that big of deal unless you plan on labeling) is that the inset on one side is deeper than the other (especially on yellow-1000). There are even a few that I don't think you could label without encountering stacking problems. Did anyone else notice?

Re: "Private CardRoom" Hot Stamped Paulsons ARRIVE!

My boss could tell I was getting anxious that I would miss my important delivery, so he told me I could use some personal business time to go home and wait for it (he didn't know said delivery was 'only' poker chips, of course). I took him up on it and sped home to find nobody other than Mr. FedEx Man waiting in my driveway - sweet! I signed for it, and in an unprecedented show of restraint, put the unopened box inside the door, got back in my car, and came back to work.

By the way, why does my Apache box say "5stardeal" on it? Am I missing something here?

All home market Paulson chips come through 5Star, so I guess they just shipped direct to you to same a step?

Re: "Private CardRoom" Hot Stamped Paulsons ARRIVE!

I just got mine - Boy they are SWEET. I can't believe how BRIGHT the colors are.

So much so that it makes me think that these are NOT the normal Paulson material composition. NO Dust at all and they feel fantastic but the faces do seem to have a bit more of a slick feel than other brand new paulsons I've dealt with.

I know, I know, I've read the thread about how it would cost a gazillion dollars for B&G to change their composition for home chips, but these are definitely not your casino's paulsons. I find it hard to believe the make up of the mold can have that much affect on the overall feel of the chip.

THESE ARE TOTALLY SWEET. My only regret is that I only got a set of 300 to see if I'd like them, now my average price per chip is going to go up!

Oh - I have one more thing to say - We really need to give MAJOR props to all the fabulous 3D designers around here who really make it super easy to visualize chips long before they are manufactured. These chips look so much like the mock ups its unbelievable. Thanks to all who made this GB a reality.

Re: "Private CardRoom" Hot Stamped Paulsons ARRIVE!

I'm so jealous that some of you already have them. I have to hope and pray that they get here by Friday. Last update from Fedex had them leaving Portland on the 18th. Nothing since. And our office is closed for the next week. There's no way I'm going to sit around in the dark for my week off. I was really hoping to use them on Friday night too...

More pix please, so I can at least stare at other people's chips...

Re: "Private CardRoom" Hot Stamped Paulsons ARRIVE!

They have arrived! Very nice! Love the rich colors. The only thing i noticed that was kind of odd was the stacking ability. At 40 high they wobble. I guess they just need some breaking in...but overall i am very happy with my purchase.

More chip pics to come.
