Chips: 1,122 | | | Re: Post your Mr Chips WSOP pictures Hello all,
I am interested in these chips but really don't know which way to go. Textured or Smooth. Im mainly wondering about the stacking ability and durability of each. Which one stacks better? And if you drop a smooth on the floor will a piece chip off? Also if anyone out there knows are these the same blanks used for the NJ Condado Beach Group buy? Thanks. |

How do you like the feel of the smooth chips? Are they slick and do they stack well? Also, how have they worn with use? Great pics and good work by the way!

-smitty | Thanks smitty! The best way for me to put it is.... They stack extremely well ,and are slick when you need them to be. For example i like to stack my chips like long towers. Infact at one point in the tourny, i had a stack of $1000's and $500's(together) 50 or more chips high, and a female player to my right got so intimidated by it that she attempted a couple of times to knock them down by shaking the table! Didn't work!! Anyway... On the other hand, when you throw out a bet they spread better than hot butter!! They are perfect for tricks. The 'chip swirl' couldn't have been any smoother! In my opinion, i think they are as good as a ceramic chip gets. Period, can't get any better. As for how they have worn with use... I really couldn't tell you as of yet. They still look new! The only thing i could say is, the edges felt kinda sharp when i first got em , obviously they will need breaking in. They definatly feel alot better after the first use . Btw they sounded real nice too!
Hope this helped make your choice easier!
And i'm sure this answers jeff123's question too...

It takes a couple of years before ceramic chips get worn in a casino that's open 24/7. Imagine how long it would take in the weekly home game

Chips: 200 | | | Re: Post your Mr Chips WSOP pictures I bought textured (aligned) and they, too, stack relatively well. They're also slick, but like mentioned before, in a good way. These chips are seriously worth every penny. Looks are incredibly identical to the originals, and they are a hit with the home folk!!!! |
