Re: Post your Bellagio pics!

spot 2

11/11/06 12:53 P.M. CST.

Chips just arrived!!!!! Woo Hoo!!!!!

Initial thoughts are these kick a$$. I have not taken them out of the cellophane wrapper yet, (I know..pot calling the Kettle black Wedge), but in looking at the stacked rolls the bleeding problem is not bad enough to bother me. I will inspect each chip tonight with my 5 year old and snap a few pics as well. For 0.275 cents apiece these rock!I have counted a few rolls and have seen two that only have 24 in the stack. Since I didn't order or recieve extras I'll have to address this with Palm.

Sorry for the long wait. I know at this point everyone and their Grand-ma have these, but here's mine.

400 - 5K
300 - 10K
380 - 25K
100 - 100K
20 - NCV

Re: Post your Bellagio pics!

I ordered 4000 of these chips. Textured, of course, for her pleasure.

My breakdown was:
110 x NCV
110 x 5
810 x 25
810 x 100
810 x 500
610 x 1000
310 x 5000
210 x 10000
110 x 25000
110 x 100000

They will be used for a ten table T10000 tourney with 1 rebuy per player. This tournament runs twice a year. Overall, I was very pleased with the chips for the price. Bleeding issues have been shared already. I concur. The text looks great on the textured - no complaints in that department, and I love the feel. Can't wait to see these in play.

Starting stacks will be:
8 x 25
8 x 100
8 x 500
5 x 1000

Rebuys will get:
2 x 5000

Be sure to click on the image again in imageshack to see them full res.

In the cages:

Re: Post your Bellagio pics!

I got these a couple hours ago. This is my original order of 600 High denoms I plan to use in a Tournament Blackjack Game I run (similar to World Series of BJ). I added another 900 (includes lower denoms 25, 100, 500's) by buying Kaiser10's set and then added another 440 from a partial buy of HarrysAllOut (which includes the non-denom and $5) for a total of 1940 chips. The Kaiser10 chips are due tomorrow. We're not sure about Harry's yet. This is a preliminary pic until I at least get the 900 tomorrow. Also shown are the 20 Bounty's and 2 Dealer Buttons I added.

I like them a lot. I have a Heads-Up Tournament Series (running like the National HU Championship) starting this weekend and will be breaking them in.

Here's the whole gang... (a little over 2300 total)

Hmmm. So you ARE interested...

I told you people, this spot is gonna go quick! Get your bids in...

Sorry Wedge. When they do start coming in, I'll delete my posts so as not to clutter up and/or interupt the p0rn.

Re: Post your Bellagio pics!

Chips arrived around noon today. Here's the mountain of chips

Here they are racked and stacked

Overall I am quite pleased. The 5k is my favorite of the batch. Virtually no bleeding issues and most of the ones I got that aren't spot on aligned are pretty durn close. The big disappointment is the 10k chip. In contrast to the 5k chip, the unaligned chips are in greater quantity and color bleeding is significant. Hey, I didn't pony up for aligned chips, so I'm not bitching, but in contrast to the 5k chips, it's an obvious difference in quality. Here's a pic of a stack of unaligned, bleeding chips next to a stack of mostly aligned.

As you can see, the white spots look pink at first glance in the stack on the left. Also note the third chip down in the stack on the right. The edge pattern is way off. Fortunately, only a few chips suffer from this problem.

Contrast this with the 100k chip which doesn't suffer from bleeding at all, even on a chip as misaligned as you can get.

The 25k chip has a few problems with bleeding as well.

This chip also suffers from miscentered face printing, resulting in a white crecent along the edge of the chip.

My overall impression is that I'm very happy with the chips I got at the price I paid. When looking at stacks of chips, across the table, the overall appearance is quite pleasing. If you inspect chips individually looking for flaws, you will find some. I didn't expect perfection at this price and although I haven't counted, the overall defect percentage seems to be low. My only wish is that the 10k chip didn't have so many bleeders.
