Framed Sample sets

In honor of Boon's excellent Samurai framing job - here are my weak attempts at displaying sample sets. I cut holes in corregated cardboard, layed felt or suited speed cloth over it and set the chips in the recesses.

American Beauties, Egyptians, Samurais, Chipco Vinyards

Re: Framed Sample sets

Hey, not weak at all. I think they look great. Now I know what to do with the scraps left over from my table. Couldn't bring myself to throw them away, but didn't know what to do with them either... Thanks!

I like to make fun and exciting underwear with the leftovers!

They look good in Matt's room, I also like the framed cards he has. I need to finish my room...prepare to still see the room as it was last month at tonight's game..

Yes sir! White chocolate and dark chocolate chips added to the fray...on the new table...I haven't finished the snap under drink holders yet so coasters for tonight. Once I get the holders done I'll have to post here, I think some folks will like the idea.

They look great, Matthew!

I like the cut-out cardboard theory w/ overlayed felt....Might have to borrow that idea!

I was thinking the same thing

I've been thinking lately on how you cut maybe 100 holes in thin mdf accurately enough to ensure that the chips are aligned properly. It would be a bummer if you cut 99 perfect holes and messed up the last one.

Cardboard would be much easier, and the felt hides any very slight errors.

Great idea!
