OTB, most excellent review and the work you are doing is appreciated by all. |

and i have a suggestion for OTB, you can make some "color-chart" chips like Chipco does , making gradients of the colors on the chip in order to compare to what matches and what doesnt. it could save you alot of time trying to go back and forth with just one color gradient at a time.
i also would be willing to wait and pay a little more if the edges lined up. but its not mandatory, i will still buy 2000 of these chips regardless.
great writeup OTB, very professional job. |

Chips: 2,044 | | | Re: Bellagio Tribute Prototype Review regarding the colors, the 25 seems different to me in many different pictures ive seen. i think thats going to be the hardest chip to match, because some pics show a dark color and some show a light one. the green should be more olive looking IMO. and probably the sand color a bit more darker in order to differentiate it with the white on the 500 chip.
and im glad OTB is working out the kinks of the 500. that chip looks the best IMO and will be my favorite chip! i would like to think that its a bright white chip with bright orange spots. i can live with an offwhite chip though...

Chips: 502 | | | Re: Bellagio Tribute Prototype Review OTB, my lone advice for you is that you keep this group buy moving forward at a timely pace. Many suggestions and requests are coming in from potential participants but as I'm sure you know, it's impossibe to please us all.
I understand that these are tribute chips but at the price point of these chips, I would personally buy them right now (as is)...but it is good to know that they will get "better". |

Chips: 431 | | | Re: Bellagio Tribute Prototype Review OTB, thanks for the pics and review. very imformative. I have total trust in your ability to get this chips looking good. I don't need Great however and by your own admission, you're the pensive artist/perfectionist type so I would echo KY70's sentiments. Let's take one more run for the colors and get the Smooth/Tectured issue worked out with a short run poll (no more than 4 days) and then run with it. I also don't think we should give folks the option as to Smooth/Tectured. Keep it one or the other base on the poll.
Since I have both BR Pros (Tectured) and ChipCo's (Smooth)
I do have a Smooth vs. Tectured comparison.. although just an opinion.
Scale 1-5 (5 being best) _________Tectured _________Smooth
Spinners | < 1 -500 ............< 1 - 200 (EDIT SEE BELOW)
Sound | ...... 4................... 4 1/2
Stacking | ...40+ ...............60+ Chips high depending on whether or not you pull out spinners
Riffling | .....5.................... 4
Graphics | ...3 .....................4
Feel | ........ 4 ....................4
Weight| ......4....................5 (edit.... I took an actual sampling from my two sets (before I was taking a SWAG) and still found more spinners among the ChipCo's than BR Pro's, although admitedly not nearly as prevelant as my original ratio suggested)
Upshot...Graphics quality and sound (Smooth) vs feel and playability (riffling, stacking, spinners) (Tectured)
I personally spend a heck of a lot more time looking at the other players than my chips, so how they riffle (I riffle constantly), stack and feel is much more important to me. The graphics quality differences carry less weight over time. So, aside from the better sound (I am not a pot splasher) and weight of the ChipCo's, I am definitly for the Tectured chip over the Smooth, but I certainly won't be deterred if I am in the minority and the GB ends up going with Smooth. Either way, I am still down for $700-800 worth of Chips.

Cappy | My last set of chips were Chipco Crystal Oyster's and I had not 1 spinner in a set of 310.I just find your spinner to chip ratio a bit extreme for chipco's,a lot of people on here have chipco's and I don't hear a lot of complaining about spinners from them.
Just my 0.2c. |

I have similar experience with Chipcos . . . far fewer spinners than your ratio would suggest, all due respect. |

Chips: 255 | | | Re: Bellagio Tribute Prototype Review Dumb question but are the chips pictured smooth or textured? They look pretty smooth compared to NJs. If they aren't smooth, are the smooth ones buy SunFly similar to chipco in smoothness or are they even smoother? |
