Thanks again!!!

Eric
Just so its clear- it took Sun a LONG time to do the lineups of the edgetripes- sort of a test-- the GB chips will be done randomly-- otherwise were looking at delays in production-- long delays.

After this GB I will do a post for those wanting edge stripes to line up on future orders.

We are doing our first order now on TRYING to achieve perfection in this process- I will do a review of the first order once the chips are finished-- or have the buyer ( a CT member ) do the review.

Again, the GB edge stripes will be RANDOM.. so there's no confusion.

Part of that has to do with the black generation.

The black (which includes the text on all chips) is laying down too heavy and is creating a bleed or a "creep" of the ink, making the font appear a bit bolder.

In the next run, I'm going to throttle back the CMYK black values (you don't want to use just 100% black if possible, you end up with more of a very dark gray, you always want to "undercoat" the black with CM & Y for a richer, solid black) so they don't bleed as much.

The denomination is what it is. It is a good solid red, but everything appears to have a slight bleed, but only the black worries me, not so much in the text, but where it meets color in the chip bodies.

Re: Bellagio Tribute Prototype Review

Fantastic review OTB.

I have a comment/question. I notice the diamonds on the face are not exactly centered. The diamonds are closer to the inlay than the outer edge and I don't think that's the right orientation. I also noticed the same thing on the mockups you showed us in the other thread and you explained that you have a 3mm bleed (42mm total) on those mockups. Is that necessary? It appears the extra 3 mm bleed offsets the diamonds on the face of the actual chip as well.

Edit: There is an approx. 1 mm racetrack on the outer edge that creates uneven spacing for the diamond. Since we can't trimm the chip, perhaps enlarging the inlay would help center the diamond on the face?

I'll look into this before submitting the next round of files.

Thanks for the info.
