Do you plan to oil your Pharaoh's?

Because i'm interested in what people are planning to do.

I'm a no, btw.

Probably not. If the colors are as bright as my JB samples, I think there is no need.

I didn't vote because I am not purchasing any of the Pharaos, but I do have a set of trademark Paulsons which I have not oiled. They look great the way they are and have not had any problem with discoloration due to dirt or grime.

I've noticed that oiling has helped with the color transfer problems on the 2005 JBs. For that reason, I plan on oiling my Pharaoh's

I would be a no. I like to let them age naturally.

I tried it on some JB and Trademark samples and it made no visible difference, unlike with ASMs. Didn't test it for color transfer resistance though, but since it didn't make them look any better I wouldn't waste my time.

I agree with JM that the color difference is negligible, so don't bother unless you anticipate a lot of shuffling of the chips. I noticed a real resistance to color transfer when I oiled my JB's, but as has pointed out elsewhere, if people aren't shuffling the same chips for hours on end it won't matter much. (Although since I noticed the worst color transfer on the orange spots on the black chips, it may be worth oiling just those. That's probably what I would do.)
