I have been in contact with matsui about making a decal chip (bud jones style) along the lines of the WSOP chips. I have recieved artwork from matsui. The artwork is below. The molds are not binding. I was looking to see if there is interest in these chips, and to see if anybody would like to get a group buy going. The Bud Jones mold CANNOT be used in this buy. We are limited to the matsui molds. The price per chip will be under .90/ chip.

The second mockup is the latest version of what the chips will look like. It is not final yet. We are very close to finalzing it though. Once all details are finalized, I will open a new thread with all offical details.

Are you thinking of getting these chips made with the molds we see in the mock up or are you going to hold a poll for a mold for each denomination?

I personally would like to see the current molds on the $100 and $5k chips switched around so that the $5k chip looks exactly like the $100 chip did in the example based on 2004 colors. I really like the way the purple and blue chip looked with the more complicated mold. And I also like the idea of the molds starting out simple on the low denoms and getting more interesting and complex as the values go up.

I am interested in a Matsui decal chip, but am on the fence about an imitation wsop design.

Is the group entertaining other designs?

the 10k chip is orange not yellow. i think the mold for the $100 chip would be better suited for the 10k cihp. and please the inlay should reflect the new inlay for this year. the inlay still reminds me of last year's western style writing. this year it was bold arial type font.

and i know for sure i will never be playing in such a high stakes game needing to use a 50,000 chip. but we could do versions with denoms and without denoms. or you could just up the starting stack like people have mentioned.

btw, the 50k desert storm chip looks pretty sick.

Non-denom would be kinda pointless, they are supposed to be like the wsop chips which have denoms. If you're going to go non-denom, then why bother with this inlay?

Is the red 25K chip a possibilty or not? It would be a shame for such a good looking chip to be left out. I am eagerly awaitng more details on this group buy.

I would definetely be in for prolly around 1000 chips if we keep the 25 chip...
