Chips: 498 | | | A new round of custom Kings Crown (TR King) Hey all,
I was wondering if anyone was up for a new round of custom TR Kings. Much like the ones posted in the Group Buy photo section.
I'd like to use the same inlay (so that we can buy strange denominations from existing stock (like the $10, $5k, and $10k chips))
However, I'd like to made the edge spots vary a bit from chip to chip. I'm hardcore for having a quarted chip.
Anyone interested?
If this order is just me I'll probably get around 1100 chips @ about $1.30 each. And if the price drops I'll buy more.
But if we order around 3000-3500 chips the price falls to $1 each. And if we hit 5000 chips I think we can expect .80 each.
Here is a super preliminary design. Ignore the inlay
I'm not nearly sold on the 1-100 chips. (they go in order from 1,5,25,100,500,1000, existing 5k chips)
try going to www.trking.com for more info |

Chips: 6,141 | | | Just for amusement, I found an old email where Dennis said he could to the quarter pie -
RE:
Rick, We can still do the 1/4 pie chip, however they cost considerably more. Let me know what you want to do and we will quote. Sincerely, Dennis

I have an email almost identical to this (except for the price info)
But when I recently talked to him told me that the mold for those chips was quite old and getting kind of unreliable. While saying this he had an air of "god I'm glad to be rid of those damn things...I hated making them so much"
So I didn't press the issue further. |

uggh. | Yeah, that's a little steep. At $2 a chip you could buy some Paulsons off Ebay for less! |

Chips: 1,589 | | | You are only ordering 700. He is clearly not that interested in small orders.
I love TRKings and have been waiting for some time now for someone to do a truely custom chip from TR King. I am tempted to do it myself. I have lots of ideas, but am not much of an expret in graphic design.
I want something that is not going to be sold by retailers so as to have better security. I don't think that it would be too difficult to hit the minimums (5,000) for a reasonable price with TRKing
Someone take the reigns!

AB | Believe me, I'm well aware of his motives and apparent desire to work on small orders. But I've gotten 3 quotes at different times, all for the same specs at $1.30, $1.45, and $2.00. It's just frustrating. I would have done it at around $1.30-$1.40 That's how much I like the TR King vs ASM.
I'd might be interested in another TR King group buy, but that's going to take months.... not sure I want to wait that long. |

Chips: 6,141 | | | You guys should do another round of Kings Crowns. That way you don't have to take months to design an inlay + you can mix with the stock Kings Crowns. Also, many that were in on the first set would probably get in on this for some different colors.
The way Ray did it was to just get enough for 5K and then close the buy. That way there's only a limited number made. |

Most of this cost will be your 4 color inlay. The cost of getting the artwork isn't dilluted into enough chips. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
