That site is a good resource, must bookmark it. Anyway... I did a search for "steeler" and got hits for many active marks, including the three hypocycloids in the configuration shown on the chips. The artwork shown was entirely in B&W, so there may or may not be an issue...
Understand that I'm not trying to rain on anyone's parade here. I'm just playing the devil's advocate.
Whether anyone feels that their design "should" be OK to print on a chip is irrelevant. Ultimately, it is the chip manufacturer who must look at the artwork and decide whether they feel the design infringes on a trademark. We just saw this recently with the Pharaoh's when a Paulson employee thought the scarab in one of the designs was the same one used on an older Journey album.
