Chips: 157 | | | Chip Breakdown (NEED HELP!!!) I know this is this is the wrong forum, but I am crunching numbers and getting a headache. Trying to come up with the ultimate 500 piece set and can't find all the relative threads. Thinking:
200 Red
180 Green
60 Black
40 Purple
20 Yellow
OR
200 Red
200 Green
75 Black
25 Purple
Trying to think of a set that could run 1 table for T1000, T1500 and T2000 or maybe drop the red down and add some white for a cash/Tourney set. Help please my head is throbbing!! | | Sponsored Links | |

Chips: 501 | | | Here is my T5000 set up for 500 chips:
200 - $25 chips
225 - $100 chips (25 of the 225 are for color ups)
50 - $500 chips (20 of the 50 are for color ups)
25 - $1000 chips (15 of the 25 are for color ups)
I Will hand out the following chips per player (up to 10)
20 - $25 = $500
20 - $100 = $2,000
3 - $500 = $1,500
1 - $1000 = $1,000
44 chips and $5,000 per player |

Chips: 11,933 | | | My basic setup:
200 $25
200 $100
60 $500
40 $1000
When coloring up the $25’s I just use the $500’s as much as possible and then buy back $100 chips to cover what I need to make up. Same for coloring up the $100’s, I just use $1000’s and then by back whatever $500’s I need. This has been a pretty well rounded setup for me as I can play T2500, T3000, T5000 up to at least 12 players and T10000 all the way up to eight players without too much inconvenience, although eight players at T10000 is really stretching it.

Chips: 210 | | I asked the same question, but for a T5000 setup in this thread... http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/viewto...307&highlight=
I'm sure you could do the same for a T1000 since basically your chip denoms are these divided by 5, more or less.
I decided to go with:
200 Green
150 Black
100 Purple
50 Yellow
This will support 10+ people with 1 full re-buy/add-on each. |

Chips: 385 | | | For a basic 500 chip tourney set, I would go with something like this:
200 - $5
200 - $25
75 - $100
25 - $500
For ten players starting at T1000:
20 - $5
16 - $25
5 - $100
For 20 players starting at T1000:
10 - $5
6 - $25
3 - $100
1 - $500
I always like to get some extra of each color just in case some chips get lost, damaged, or whatever. These extra chips can come in handy when you have more people playing than you anticipated too. If you do rebuys or add-ons, I would recommend getting some more $100s and/or $500s.
You really don't need the 1000 chip because its not like you will ever race off all your 500s right. If you want to add another color just so the set looks cooler though, I don't think anybody can argue with that. But you won't need many at all (maybe just ten). |

5: 200
25: 250
100: 200
500: 50
this is designed for t1000-t2000 6-12 man tournys. there is some cash game compatibility but that's not the primary purpose of this set. |

Chips: 732 | | | Although I still want to create a program to autogenerate this based on # of ppl, starting $, & maximizing the chips per player......I've become convinced that if the chips are primarily for tournament purposes you should throw out the $5 chip. It seems to work MUCH better starting at $25/100/500 instead of $5/25/100. I guess simply having a 4:1 ratio from the 100/25 helps enough so you don't have to use a lot of your total chips for the lowest denoms which are colored out quickly. It's also good because it makes people feel like they have tons of money in front of them and can create million dollar pots and such. |

Guess I agree on eliminating the reds and also works as a cash game set if you divide denoms by 100. |

Chips: 732 | | | Seems like a LOT of purples, but that probably just means that people start with a few less chips than if you did 200/200/60/40 as Wylecoyo mentioned. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
