Chips: 1,751 | | | Possible Tiki denominations group buy? This is just an interest-gauging post to see what would happen if I were to try to set up a group buy of some slightly different Tiki chips:
Let me know what you all think...

In practice, though, I'm just not terribly bothered by it, and there are other issues with the diagonals that might be made worse by a thicker black line. (Some of the overlaps can get a little wonky and cause a slight "sawtooth" effect on the diagonals. It's only there if you look for it, but you could say the same thing for the bleed on most of the chips). I'd certainly consider it if people wanted to try it. | Yeah, it's not too big an issue for me either, just throwing the idea out there. Good point about solving the bleed only to cause the other problem.
I like the font for the denominations. Did you hand draw those as well?
I'm also guessing shrinking the tiki's on the red and white chips and putting the denominations under them like the others didn't look too good since they each only have the one digit. |

Chips: 11,514 | | | Not a big fan of Chipco's but I like this set and could be in for 800-1000 of a denom set. Kinda waiting to see what happens with the Matsui Group Buy. Tiki's would be my second choice.
Thanks and nice design,

Chips: 12,758 | | | They look awesome - for me, buying a set would come down to price and minimum number to purchase. I would definitely get a sample set, but a full set is 50/50 depending on price.

I'm kind of short on money right now, so would these be for sell somewhere after the group buy? |

Chips: 37 | | | I love these chips... depending on the price, I would be in whether they were denoms or ncv.
One question... why do all of the chips have the denoms under the tiki except for the $1 and $5? |

Just 'cause the narrower denominations look kind of skimpy sitting underneath the drawings all by themselves. Putting them to the side also allows the tikis to be bigger.
To those who've been asking about price, I really have no idea. If we got an order of 10,000 chips or more, they could be as low as .81 a chip including design charges. 20,000 or more would take us much lower.
I'm looking into a few ways to get the denomination Tikis made; a possible group buy that I organize is a backup plan; I'm just checking to see whether it'd even be worthwhile. Thanks to everybody who responded; I'll keep you all posted! | | | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
