Re: Shaped label group buy

The horsehead's have 1" centers, why the 7/8 order?

Pkrcp, the HH's are not quite 1" so when you apply the 1" labels there is a very slight overhang. It is easy enough to drag your fingernail around the label to take care of it, but I imagine it would become quite tedious when doing a large quantity and if you do not do this they look funny, more like a sticker than a label. The 7/8" size will work better and look nice too, especially for everyone who enjoyed the ASM chips in Rounders as the Chesterfields and KGBs used the 7/8" inlays.

Daniel, the labels will work for your 11.5g's but since they do not really have a recess you may deal with some spinners here and there. Labels look WAY better to me so if I were you I would go for it, those composites are already slippery and slick so having some labels on them would not really change things much. And you do not have to be in the HH group buy, I think Jason just started this as it was a convenient time to do so with the HH buy ending, rest assured it is open to all.

thanx schmag....

yea, basically i just wanted to spruce up the composites i got, since they are so "staple" in home games these days....

i wanted to make them more appealing and "original" (as much of an irony as that seems to be, ha!)...

thanx for the heads up,
free,
d

I know the feeling, my 500 11.5g's was the first 'real' set of poker chips within the group of people I play with. Three months later and now when we get together there are 5 sets of 11.5g chips, all pretty much the same except for the design (Diamonds, Dice, Suited, etc.).

I thought of labelling them after seeing a few other pictures of the composites labelled because they look a million times better, and now I am going to get labels for my ASM's and my 11.5's.

How do these compare to http://www.bestpokerchiplabels.com/unlike.html

They seem to be top notch and do printing as well. I have a color laser printer but I want these to be the best possible prints, their equipment seems better than what I could do. Pricing should be the same on volume or maybe even better if we can get them to bid against rippedsheets. Whatever is best for the group. I'd be ordering 3000 round so I guess that's about 48 sheets.

Anyone know if these would fit on TR Kings? If they do I'm in for 300 chips worth.

To each his own, but I'm more comfortable going with Jason...he is familiar with the HH inlay and has also noted the difference in quality between the ripped sheets labels and the standard labels. Besides, if not for him, we wouldn't even know about the thinner more durable ripped sheets labels.
