Kem Card Group Buy for the Pharaoh Club

I do not have enough time to organize and work out the details for a Kem Card Group Buy for the Pharaoh Club. How many people would be interested in buying a couple of double decks of Pharaohs and Paisleys from Kem?? The Paisley Kems are the cards featured on Chiptalk's home page with Pharaohs. We play on a 8 foot oval table and have found that Super Index Bridge is the only way to go, especially if you have any players above 55 at the table. USPC is currently only making Bridge Arrows but I'm sure if we had a big enough order they would start producing these. What do you guys think??

Contest??

One option thrown out by Ten is to have a contest for artwork.

Any ideas on what would be a reasonable award for winning the contest? For example xx free sets of cards?

What do you think J5? What is a reasonable award for winning a contest like this?

The card design should use 4 colors or less (see my previous post that includes Gemaco feedback on # colors and 100% plastic cards).

aero,
Are those Gameco prices for customized backs only, or would that cover custom faces too?

Would we need two different colored decks? If so, would the second color reset the custom counter (so we'd need an additional 500 sets), or would that just count as an additional color? (I'm guessing that the former is the case here... we'd need twice the quantity if we want two different colored decks, right?)

Yes, I only asked about custom backs. I wasn't sure anyone would tackle the custom fronts (which would be awesome if we could).

I have always planned on two different colored decks (backs) in each set. I will verify with Kardwell; however, my discussions (and email traffic) indicates that the minimum order for custom 100% plastic cards is 500 decks. Therfefore; 500 sets = 1000 decks. So the we meet the minimum requirements for 2 different decks. The worst case is that we would have to pay the color set-up charge for the different colored decks. This is minimal when compared to the price of 500 sets.

Also, once we have some artwork for them to look at, we can negotiate exact prices. I believe providing them some artwork may also get them to sharpen their pencils on cost.

I have some ideas on what I would like to see; however, I am not an artist. I will try to draw up my ideas, but we really need some of the artists here to push this to the next level.

Re: Kem Card Group Buy for the Pharaoh Club

How about a couple of Chiptalk.net cards?
Maybe you could include some of the logos of the chips that have been puchased through group buys on here. Like the AB's and Pharaohs!!
