Kem Card Group Buy for the Pharaoh Club

I do not have enough time to organize and work out the details for a Kem Card Group Buy for the Pharaoh Club. How many people would be interested in buying a couple of double decks of Pharaohs and Paisleys from Kem?? The Paisley Kems are the cards featured on Chiptalk's home page with Pharaohs. We play on a 8 foot oval table and have found that Super Index Bridge is the only way to go, especially if you have any players above 55 at the table. USPC is currently only making Bridge Arrows but I'm sure if we had a big enough order they would start producing these. What do you guys think??

A ChipTalk.net member PM'd me about info that Kardwell makes custom cards, both paper and 100% plastic. He was told that they use Gemaco for the custom plastics. YOu can get custom backs or custom backs AND fronts.

Now THAT would be the utilmate group buy to organize. Custom Pharaoh's Club Gemacos. The biggest problem I see is that the minimum is 5,000 decks, and that's a lot of freakin cards.

Great!!

That would be Great!! Sounds like a job for SUPER TEN!! I would love to have some custom Pharaoh plastic cards as long as they are Bridge with Super Index. We play with a center dealer and there is big difference in shuffling and dealing Bridge size cards vs. wide size when you are only one dealing all night. PUT ME DOWN FOR 10 DECKS designed by SUPER TEN!!!

This place makes personalized plastic cards, mimimum order quantity 1.

http://thehouseofcards.com/cards_personalized.html

I don't know what kind of cards they are, or what volume discounts they might have.

We just need the artwork.

Still, I'd like to check them out. Since we can get single decks, I propose a test run. If somebody is willing to do the artwork, I'll buy two decks: 1 for the artist, and one for myself. Then we can do a review on them. Any takers? Ten -- you wanna set this up as a contest?

I'll take two

I'll take two decks.....I'd prefer Bridge Super Index and I'll contribute some money for the art work (Ten).

Hmmm - not sure where you'll find anyone to do the artwork for these... Ok, you twisted my arm.

Is this going to be a contest or what?

Ten --- if you're willing to set this up as a contest, help with guidance for the designs, and judge the contest, I'll pitch in for a third deck. Is that enough of a bribe?

Otherwise, I guess it will be an unofficial contest. After all, I'm not volunteering to buy a custom deck for every single person who designs one. I'm just interested in getting some custom Pharaoh card designs made, and sampling that vendor's cards (and process.)
