Chips: 1 | | | TR Kings Mini-group buy. I just ordered some TR King samples:
Dark Blue, Light Blue, White, Off White, Red, Orange, Light Green, Dark Green, Black, Lavender, Purple, Grey and Yellow.
My idea is to do a mini custom group buy for the min order of 5000 chips.
White, Blue or Grey -> 25 cent , no edge spots
White or Blue -> $1 no edgespots or 3 single edgedpots
Red or Orange -> $5 4 edgespots
Light Green or Dark Green -> $25 4 edgespots
Black -> $100 5 edgespots
Purple, Lavender or Pink -> $500. w or w/o edgepots
Yellow -> $1000, no edgespots
The inlay design is yet to be determined, but it will be something simple, classy and fairly generic.
My aim is to get to ~5000 chips and CLOSE the group buy to maintain the "originality" and security of the chip.
Please let me know if you are interested.
As this will be a mini group buy, those that get in on the group buy will have a true voice in designing the inlay.
If this can get off the ground my goal is to have the chip go into production before the end of June. | | Sponsored Links | |

Chips: 1,577 | | | I have been thinking about doing this same kind of thing with TR King chips for quite some time. I don't have samples of every color, but do have samples of most. I have all the denom from the rounders set and the standard Kings Crown set so I have a pretty good idea of what most of the colors look like and what the different edge spots look like. I like TR Kings a lot and think that we could come up with something outstanding.
It might be helpful to have samples of all the colors available. When I ordered my samples of the Kings Crown from Dennis he said they didn't even have samples of every color. Maybe I should contact him again. What was your experience with this?
Anyone who thinks they might be interested in this probably should get on the horn and get samples.
Lets see what kind of response there is to this and we can take it from there.

Chips: 1,577 | | | I have all the ones ahopen has ordered except purple. I also have a few others, but I think I am missing one or two.
It's hard to tell from the web site what all his colors are called and how many he has. Right at the top of his home page it says they have 23 custom colors to chose from, but I think that when I spoke to him he said 18 also.
I guess that I will have to call or e-mail again and order what ever ones I am missing.
On his web site in different places it mentions Yellow, gold and light gold. I know that I have samples of at least two very different yellows. I'm not sure which one he calls what but I think it would be worth it to have samples of both or all 3, what ever.....
I think that one of the first things we need to do is determine what colors are available and what the names are that he uses. If we can't agree on that, we will really have a hard time.
