Chips: 1 | | | TR Kings Mini-group buy. I just ordered some TR King samples:
Dark Blue, Light Blue, White, Off White, Red, Orange, Light Green, Dark Green, Black, Lavender, Purple, Grey and Yellow.
My idea is to do a mini custom group buy for the min order of 5000 chips.
White, Blue or Grey -> 25 cent , no edge spots
White or Blue -> $1 no edgespots or 3 single edgedpots
Red or Orange -> $5 4 edgespots
Light Green or Dark Green -> $25 4 edgespots
Black -> $100 5 edgespots
Purple, Lavender or Pink -> $500. w or w/o edgepots
Yellow -> $1000, no edgespots
The inlay design is yet to be determined, but it will be something simple, classy and fairly generic.
My aim is to get to ~5000 chips and CLOSE the group buy to maintain the "originality" and security of the chip.
Please let me know if you are interested.
As this will be a mini group buy, those that get in on the group buy will have a true voice in designing the inlay.
If this can get off the ground my goal is to have the chip go into production before the end of June. |

Im very interested!!! They would 80c a piece, correct?
| I have spoken to Dennis about this before and depending on quantity, the number of colors on the inlay and the number and style of edge spots the price will vary somewhat.
We haven't decided anything yet, so I think that it is a little premature to be discussing pricing, but 80¢-90¢ a chip is probably a good estimate. I'm guessing you are saying that his website is lame??? Not sure exactly what this means, but the website is a bit weak.
I just sent him an e-mail requesting that he verify all the colors that are available. Once he responds I will post his response so we can all have an idea of the available colors.

Chips: 6,624 | | | One thing to keep in mind re: edge spots -- He charges setup fees for every different combo of edge spots. This is why when we did the Kings Crown buy, we kept everything with the same pattern. The double wide on the .25 chips is because we only wanted a single spot, but would have to pay more unless we did the double wide. I do like how the double wide turned out.
The $1 chips were also supposed to be double wide, but he screwed them up. We then had a choice to have them redone, or get extra chips. Everyone got extra chips. |

This was with no art (stock inlay) and double spots on all. You might also want to consider using the Kings Crown inlay to save money. I most likely wont be in on this buy, but if you did use the Kings Crown inlay, I might buy 100+ of 1 or more chip so I can mix my set up a bit. |

Chips: 1,589 | | | For me, I would rather mix up the edge spots a bit and have a different inlay just so that it is more unique.
I know that others don't feel this way, but 10¢ one way or the other to me does not matter.

Chips: 21 | | | I would be all over this buy if only i could spend .80-.90 per chip. It'll be awhile for that though especially since I just bought 500 ASM's in that group buy.
Damn this forum is $expensive$ |

Chips: 1,589 | | | No Offense to Kellermold, but I think we could do better. I don't care for the idea, but even if one was to use this idea it seems really raw.
