WSOP Copag Group Buy

this was recently posted by somone on the Other Poker Gear forums and it got me to thinking, Hey why not a group buy for Copags!
Of course we need someone to facilitate this buy and to get a reseller wholesale pricing from Copag itself. Im sure there are enough people here in order to get the best prices possible on these cards. Please share you opinions!

Old pricing
Price Per Box
QUANTITY PER UNIT Total Cost
1 Box 6.67 80
2 Box 6.67 160
3 Box 6.36 229
4 Box 6.31 303
5 Box 6.25 375
6 Box 6.19 446
7 Box 6.14 516
8 Box 6.10 586
9 Box 6.06 655
10 Box 6.03 723
15 Box 5.92 1065
20 Box 5.83 1400
30 Box 5.69 2050
50 Box 5.79 3475
100 Box 5.67 6800
ALL ORDERS OVER $800 RECEIVE FREE SHIPPING!!

New pricing
Quantity Price per Unit Price per Box
1-4 Boxes 8.25 99.00
5-9 Boxes 8.10 97.20
10-14 Boxes 7.90 94.80
15-19 Boxes 7.70 92.40
20-24 Boxes 7.50 90.00
25+ Boxes Call for Quote
All orders over $2000 receive free shipping!!

if we do the math then a Box hold 12 setups. setup = 2 decks. so for the old pricing, its $80 for 12 2-deck setups, or 6.67 per setup (3.33 per deck)

Hmmm maybe its time for a new forum- speakertalk.net LOL
Well there are already a lot of very good forums dedicated to speakers so it might be tough going getting speakertalk.net off the ground but I'll sign up if you try.

Almost none of today's multi-channel receivers can power a subwoofer (and the ones that can are basically gimmicks and require you to give up a surround channel to do it). You have to either get a powered sub or a passive sub and external amp.

Re: WSOP Copag Group Buy

I actually got mine thru CSW's ebay store for 60% of retail so it was a pretty good deal. And the blonde maple matched the rest of the room.

That means if you buy a $1000 sub from a retail store the retail store is buying it from the manufacturer for about $500-600 and it costs the manufacturer maybe $200-$250 to make it (or less depending on how high their overhead is). You buy a $1000 sub from best buy and you're getting maybe $200-$250 worth of parts in it. You buy a $1000 from one of us direct and you're getting anywhere from $500-600 worth of parts alone. That means we have 2-3 times as much value/quality in the components that we use. Even if we were idiots we'd be able to build a noticeably better product with that kind of advantage; and because we specialize in subwoofers we're very good at it (and we're not idiots, or at least not the ones actually designing the subs ).

Think of SVS as the Paulson of subwoofers; except we allow you to use any edgespot and color combination and our minimum order is one chip.

Re: WSOP Copag Group Buy

I still think you could have gotten a better deal from us (same performance for less money or better performance for the same amount of money) and we have blond maple in certain subs too

Tom Nousaine reviewed the CSW P1000 in June 2001 Sound and Vision magazine. He found that it had average output from 25hz-63hz of 100db and it's frequency response was 44-100hz +/- 2.1db. At 20hz it's maximum output was 82db. MSRP $1000

He also reviewed our entry level passive sub 2039CS (3 generations ago used with a generic amp not custom tuned at all). He found that it had average output from 25hz-63hz of 109.5db and it's frequency response was 25-75hz +/- 2.5db. At 20hz it's maximum output was 91db and at 25hz 105.8db. MSRP $429 (granted a fairer comparison would be the $599 powered version of the same sub since the passive model was tested with an external amp that would cost more, but keep in mind that has a custom tuned amp and would yield better performance).

In comparison it would take 3 P1000 to match the average output of the of the single 2039CS from 25-63hz. (every 6 db you increase you need twice as many of the same sub: 100-106 2X, 106-109 1.5X). And the 2039CS extends to 25hz by his standard while the P1000 only hits 44hz.

The important thing is that the sub gives you the performance that you're looking for. But when you decide to upgrade drop me a line and we'll see if we can't blow you away.
