Circle, is this thing finally off the ground? I was waiting/wondering if you were finally going to display some samples. Have you gotten anything back from Blue Chip yet that is worth viewing?

I did get some excellent samples from BC. I will not be posting pictures of them however because of an agreement I have with Dave Endy. The samples only represent the chip colors and edge spot designs, there were no inlays nor did they have my mold because both of these aspects require a large fanatical commitment that we have not yet provided. My biggest concern thus far has only been to see if they could accurately create the colors of the chips and be able to make those edge spots.

The art for the inlays has already been approved by his printer and there is no issue what so ever. Additionally Dave as verbally approved the mold as not being a problem either.

Very nice mold and color combos.

I don't dig on the samurai theme much but that's just my personal opinion...

If I had not already spent all of my money on the Paulson Pharaoh chips that Ten set up, I would have gone in on this buy. I absolutely love the theme, colors, border, everything. It was a toss up between the two, and because I have no patience what so ever, I decided the Paulson route. Nice design and I wish you the best on this group buy.

i figure the design is still in the early phases, because i see the small font as a big problem. especially the "hotel & casino" over the geisha girl. and the large "samurai" on the back looks a little funky. the kanji symbol looks cool but you might need to brighten it up a little, it might get lost under the glare of the final label. the mold looks cool and the colors even better. good luck with em.

Wow, excellent color choices. A very nice set indeed.
You may have a few issues with the font being too thin and not too readable on the final product.
Nice work

Astute observations. Originally all the fonts were smaller and the character in the background had even less contrast. I sent those images to the manufacture and they had the same concerns after consulting there printer. The images I posted here are revised and even after printing them with a cheap LaserJet on type paper it is readable and clear so I felt that when the final production is done it should be fine.

On another thread you mentioned that you are trying to get BC to make this chip 10 grams. More recently you have said it they will be 9.6 grams. Isn't that still heavier than typical BC chips? In fact isn't that pretty much what the 2005 JB's weigh? If it is, then I think that these are going to kick some serious tail! (I told my wife I was done with chips, but now I may have to join this Group buy. Oh no!)
