Custom Blue chips (Samurai Palace)

Ok, finally this has come to a point that I can post this here. Some of you may have seen these on THPF.com and I know many of you are interested. Here is the latest and greatest on these chips!

1st, I have been talking to Dave Endy for some time now trying to convince him to make a casino weight chip (i.e. 10g). Finally after hearing no for the umpteenth time I got a virtual "yes". This is to say that the deal hinges on whether we can agree on the final price. I received the last set of sample chips a few days ago and have forwarded them to the retailer sponsoring this purchase. Upon his approval we will start the official group buy -- for what I believe will be the best Bluechip available to date. As you can see in the mockups this is a new mold, not ever seen before anywhere, as well as featuring unique edge spots and a sophisticated design rarely found in home chips; AND OF COURSE the best part, these will likely be manufactured with true casino weight -- 10g (+/- .4g) grams.

You will also have the security of making your purchases through a well known and reputable dealer with various payment methods.

If you are interested in these chips please let me know via this thread or feel free to pm me.

I should have some more definite dates and prices (per chip) by the end of the coming week.

Really beautiful chips! Overall a really excellent design concept.
My thoughts:
Try the black inlay using a similar text design as the white inlay. The "samurai" with the white blocking looks sort of unprofessional and really breaks up the design. Maybe just curve samurai around the top in white using the same font as the text below, and also try curving the below text. It mars an otherwise elegant design, sorry for sounding so critical... just looks very out of place to me.

Also wish the $1000 chip had the brown edgespots.
Think that would look really nice and complete the set in a way.
What do you think? Hope you don't mind I edited your image (excuse my photoshop skills.. i know they are weak)
replaced my mock up image at circlencircle's request - now you get to see the greatest photo op of all time:

my 2 cents,
Softchewy

I think these chips look great. The mold looks fantastic and the colors make a real set, not just a bunch of thrown together chips. The muted color scheme really pulls the set together. The only color combo I am not crazy about is the yellow, but I think Softchewy's adjustment really looks good. As far as the inlays go I think the obverse heads side looks great, and the writing is just the right size. For the reverse side I think it looks better without the large Samurai cloud. I think if you had the character in a slightly lighter shade of grey it would look better, and the denomination looks good as is. But the chip looks empty with just the character and denomination, so I would recommend having the same text (top - samurai palace & bottom - hotel and casino) as on the obverse. I think if you keep the text small, it would look really good. As previously stated, I think having the predominantly white obverse and predominantly black reverse provides a good contrast that will look great on the table.

Here's an idea for you to try on the reverse (the black side). Try removing the word samuri and the numeric denomination and replace it with the denomination spelled out (e.g. One Hundred) in the same white font as you used for the numerals. Leave off the word Dollars and see how that looks. Maybe on the two word denoms, put one centered over the other:

One
Hundred

My apologies for adjusting your image and posting it.. should have asked 1st. Just trying to visualize the colors. I have removed (changed) the image. I do like the design, just the font of the samurai and the cloud effect really seems to be out of place and breaks up the whole theme.
Anyway, I am interested in getting some...

I liked the brown a lot myself. I saved it if anyone wants to see it offline.

straight up..i think we should do chips with gary coleman and knight rider on them..i mean honestly without joking around, would those not be the coolest chips ever. just imagine what your friends would say..they would laugh their asses off and be like "yooo how did you do that, thats awesome"..now i dont get chips just to hear my friends reaction but i would love them as well..the only thing that might be cooler would be mr. t..no offense or anything circuscircus, but gary and dave look better then that japanese women warrior whatever the eff she is..but then again gary and dave together look better than almost anything.
