Elements Set Group Buy - Withdrawn.

The artist has affirmed that his work can not be used in a group buy - so I have withdrawn this group buy. Sorry everyone, but thanks for your input.

Guess I go back to the denoms again (since I was the only one who liked them).

The price of poker (chips) has just gone up...

If this does not work out - I will likely scrap the ambigrams and start over - but I really don't want to do that..

This is a gorgeous design and idea for a set!

Some details don't match my 'wants', but it really gives me a case of the gimmes.

Pretty much sums up my feelings as well.

I'm in the market for custom Chipcos after deciding I DONT want Paulson.

I'm a fan of the books and the backwards words (i forget the term)

I really like them. Unfortunately, having just purchased over 1000 custom chipcos and ordered 750+ Pharo's, I'm not really in the market for new chips right now.

I would be good for a sample set if you're interested. That won't help much in terms of a quantity discount.

I just realized that those were palindromes. Impressive!

I'd say there is still work to be had creating more impact per chip so it doesn't look like a bunch of calligraphy slashes. I'd probably be down for a smaller set (300-500) if this can be cleaned up a bit.

These aren't palindromes or backwords words - they are ambigrams. Straight from Angels and Demons, artist John Langdon. Not changing the text, they are the main reason I designed these chips.

If you rotate the chips 180 degrees, they are the same as they started (so, basically, there is no top to these chips).

I am open to some minor tweaking of the chips, but the amibigrams stay as created (meaning the original designs, not what I did to them afterwards).

Yeah - my timing isn't the best for a group buy - but I like these enough - and have gotten really positive feedback (inside the forum, and outside). Figured a small group of folks might like them, and that could drive the price down a bit - if not - I'll just have to do it solo

btw - love your chips - great design and evolution. Its too bad the original ideas from the forum (FJohnson was the original creator of the first mockup, and I ran with it from there) couldn't reproduced. The beveling and overlays rocked...

Oddly enough, though, the design without them seems much cleaner..much as I liked the original idea, I like my compromise just as well. I think the outlines really helped bring the ambigrams into focus.

Err, ambigrams, palindromes, whatever..

I'm not recommending the font change, but perhaps give the calligraphy a bit more impact... I'm down for a purchase though Man I'm becoming a chip fiend in record time.

Ambigrams! That's it!!

Have you gotten any ballpark figure for what it would cost?
