Chips: 94 | | | Elements Set Group Buy - Withdrawn. The artist has affirmed that his work can not be used in a group buy - so I have withdrawn this group buy. Sorry everyone, but thanks for your input.
Guess I go back to the denoms again (since I was the only one who liked them).
The price of poker (chips) has just gone up...
If this does not work out - I will likely scrap the ambigrams and start over - but I really don't want to do that..

Chips: 33 | | The black edge on the $100 would help significantly.
Also I though of reversing the black/white triangle/dot design
around the outer edge, but while that would add more black, it would
also make it the only chip with pos/neg switched, and would
accentuate the Chipco white ring in an ugly way. You made
a great design. I like one and two very much, but I'll keep
my mouth shut now. |

Chips: 1,818 | | | deadlines? When is the purchase deadline?
How many people have signed on?
i love the ambigram font & chip design, but would prefer non-demons...
Any chance for more chip designs? Lightening, Gravity, Time. i know i am dreaming on the chances. I would die for a $1000 Time chip. a $500 gravity chip would be a nice complement to a large tourny set. T & G on the side would kill me.
If those edge spots are approved, I would have to buy them. denom or not, but it would influence the amount of chips ordered.
If there is time, i might be able to influence others to go in on a purchase. But we would need more chips colors for a large order (2k chips) @ .72..
I'll at least get 500 of these. I just wish they were no demon.
what kind of sets are others putting together?

Chips: 1,818 | | | the denoms ruin this these chips are sick/fantastic. i want non denom - but i am a begger for this design. these chips are amazing.
i want more colors. 1 or two more. i dream for a gravity(T500) & (T1000)time chip.
we've had prob's with people bringing chips to tourny's. this would be security solved. but we need it for 30ppl tourny's. $.72 is nice.
regardless I have to buy 500.

Chips: 1,818 | | | side spot joke if your side spots get approved.
could you quickly do a "einstien head" sidespot. you know, the headshot of einstien with his hair in a tizz. on the time chip.
on the gravity chip you'll need an apple for newton...
I should be in bed...
just dreaming.

Chips: 94 | | | The prob with adding chips would be that time/gravity are not part of the ambigrams I have access to - This is pretty much a 5 chip set based on the subject material.
It does appear, however, that a decent number of people want to return to non-denoms, which I can do. Before, I had larger versions of the symbols in the center area, but folks thought it was redundant. Granted, none of them have signed on to the group buy (its pretty small right now).
Folks that want to buy - shoot me PMs or post here with your preference: Non-denom or denom, the chip count that you want, and the breakdown by chip.
I have reached out to HPC already, and they will be getting back to me with the art/setup costs as they can (aka this might be different than their posted amount). Already I know, that if ChipCo approves the edgespots, its a $30 additional fee. |

Chips: 6,503 | | Not necessarily, although a few votes may be cast for an annoying post ***** given your contribution this thread.
All kidding aside, I am sure your point was made clear from your first and second post but if you felt it was not then why not just PM the designer? They are his chips and a lot of work has been done on them so to add a couple chips all of a sudden may not be feasible, or desired.

Chips: 1,861 | | | Looking good, looking really good.
RE time/gravity: once this buy is done, it would be possible to commision the ambiagram guy to make those, correct?
I would rather see this elegant set in non-denom, also.
I like the air chip with the black "gear" and the gold border on it.
Hopefully chipco will go for your amazing edgespots.
Once these are made, they may well be my favorite all-time chipco chips, even passing the "Tiki" chips.

Chips: 94 | | | Any suggestions for what to have in the denoms place - or nothing? Increasing the ambigram size didn't work that well visually - since now the fonts are all roughly the same size, but making them take up more space means they are going to be different sized (since each word is a different length).
i imagine you could try to get the artist to do other elements...though typically if you think elements, these are them. Gravity, lightning, etc, would be interesting - but one could also do other ambigrams then - such as the one used on Angels & Demons for the title itself. |

Chips: 38 | | | Are you stuck on chipco? Or would you consider a clay chip. If you would consider a clay chip i like the old non denom (symbols in place of the denoms) for the inlay, It also can solve some of the other problems by just being an inlay. I'm out of town for a while i'll check back in then. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
