Possible group buy for labels for the ASM group buy

I am thinking of getting a group buy together for labels to go with the ASM HH group buy. These would of course be like the ones I have on my circle/square chips (see post in custom chips for cog labels). I am thinking of doing five shapes: Round, cogs, scalloped, starburst and hexagons. These are pretty much the thinnest waterproof polyester labels you can get and I can vouch for the quality of the sheets from ripped sheets. The more people invoved the cheaper it will be for those involved. This all hinges on whether or not the HH group buy gets off the ground. You would be able to purchase the sheets blank or I would offer up my service to print themor I could send them to someone else you want to print them.

THis is pretty much a feeler poll to see what kind of interest there is for them.

I'd really like to get them smaller than the edge of the recess.. it will look much better that way to me.

How much is it going to cost me for 3000 labels divided into 18 graphics (assuming you'll print them)? I'll supply the art, but if you can give me a reasonable level of confidence that you'll have a way to properly center the art, I don't mind throwing down some cash for your trouble.

I hope this isn't too expensive considering the effort it's going to take to label these suckers.

To peint 3000 labels if you supply the artwork it would be $60 plus the cost of the labels. Just try to keep in mind that I can only prnt one design per sheet so you will get a minumum of 63 of any design. So if you need 100 labels for 50 chips you will end up with 126, so keep that in mind when you try to figure out how many labels/sheets you need. I try to get labels as centered as possible but I do bleed out the colors for all artwork before I print it to allow a movement of about 1/16" in any direction. These are coming off a laser printer not a press so they do have a tendancy to float around in there, but I would never send out a grossly misaligned label.

Well I got my HH samples today and tossed on some of my cog labels and it seems the center on the HH mold is only about 7/8" so we would have to go that size for labels. If we went 3/4" it would mean 84 labels per sheets as opposed to 63, just a thought.

Clearly we all NEED a picture
If we had 84 lables per sheet, how much savings per 500 chips is that?
Im guessing that by going with a 7/8" label, the label would be too close to the edges, and maybe the 7/8" lables are still large enough to have the same number of labels per page (63).

Pictures..... ops:

am seriously considering ASMs in this group buy for a cash game set...just bought pharoahs for my tourney set...yes...I have chip issues...but I suppose this forum is good for people like us...I know my color choices are nontraditional but was still hoping for some input regardless of the chip selections I've made...

when you click on the pic, the picture may appear small and low res, but if you save the pic and open it, it is as its normal resolution and the labels are clear...sorry...don't know why its doing this...not a computer guy...

cheers!

Cin0s3, I received the sample labels (thanks!) and while the cogs were a tad big I found if i removed the cogs to make it a circle they looked great! Whatever size that works out to be is perfect I think because you can still see the concentric circle of the recession, and the label just looks good. Well, not super good because my scissor skills are lacking but you get the idea.

Sorry guys, I did NOT realize that any signup was required.

To summarize, look at tastics pictures because once I removed the cogs the size of the label was pretty much identical to the size in his picture.

Yeah I think the cogs are about an 1/8" so we will probably be in the neighborhood of 7/8" for labels to fit in the HH in centers.

Keep in an eye out in this folder Monday, I want to put a poll on my website for those that are serious about this to see what kind of numbers we are looking at for each shape that way we can get a better idea what the price per sheet will be.
