Do we still dislike it? (Pharaohs on the new mold)

My guess is the Pharaohs will be on the new mold we saw unveiled today on the internet. Initially I was appalled by how it looked, but I decided to open up Photoshop just to be sure. Below are the results, and you know what? I think they still look damn good. Also, for those who were worried about the cross-hatching only being on the outside edge, a closer look at the red chip laying flat shows texture all the way to the inlay. I can't tell if this is the cross-hatch pattern of the clay, or perhaps the linen finish over the inlay? Judge for yourself:

The Pharaoh's will be awsome!!! I can't waite to see them in real life! They definitely look better than the pictures of the Bond chips when i first saw them. After i bought the Bonds chips, and had them in my hand, they looked much better than the pictures. BRING ON MY NEW PHARAO'S!!!!!!

not my favorite mold, but i still love the pharaohs, and i can't wait to get them!!! i think that it is hard to see anything good about the mold when it has those trademark inlays on it, imho. pharaohs in hand=better than any fantasy home chip out there (and better than many real casinos even). bing.

Ten,

There is no doubt in my mind that you will succeed in your goal to make the best home poker chip on the home market. I'm also sure that most people will be 100% satisfied with their Pharaoh's chips. I think all the intitial hostility comes from everyone (myself included) having their hopes up... we hoped that we were an intergral part of making the best home poker chip set possible - through our own group ideas and wishes. The set if designed 100% to our demands would have made history and been truely a work of art that would have surely stood the test of time. It appears it will turn out to be the best home poker chip available - at this time - designed to Paulsons wishes.

I apologize for coming off so strong in other threads. I truely am appreciative of all your efforts. Only you walked in your shoes during this process, we all need to realize the limitations that were set were not due to a lack of effort or desire on your part. I'm proud to be a part of your Pharaoh's group buy and still wait in great anticipation of pulling in a huge pot of our finished product.

Sincerely,

-TripKings

IMO this mold is still an improvement over the JB mold. It is not perfect, admittedly the concentric circles and a shifted text/top hat towards the centre would have looked better, but you gotta live with the hands that you are dealt and paulson handed us this one.

Those trademark chips are fugly, but the Pharaoh inlay is so sexy that the mold shortcomings aren't prominent when looking at those pics
