Do we still dislike it? (Pharaohs on the new mold)

My guess is the Pharaohs will be on the new mold we saw unveiled today on the internet. Initially I was appalled by how it looked, but I decided to open up Photoshop just to be sure. Below are the results, and you know what? I think they still look damn good. Also, for those who were worried about the cross-hatching only being on the outside edge, a closer look at the red chip laying flat shows texture all the way to the inlay. I can't tell if this is the cross-hatch pattern of the clay, or perhaps the linen finish over the inlay? Judge for yourself:

Johnny, Ten, Group buyers:
I offered a rationalizetion and apology a few posts above for my ranting. In addition to what I said above, I think our Pharaoh's chips will be head and shoulders above anything else on the market. My comments/concerns/complaints are really directed at Paulson or Trademark or whoever decided the "new" mold was an improvement. My advice to them is: "Quality is in the details; it’s the little things that make good companies and their products great." A far superior product could have been made. The new mold has just the opposite problem of the old one - so it still looks like it was made for a different inlay size, etc, etc. That is a slap in the face for educated custom poker chip buyers, and an inslut for anyone to think we should feel that the new offering is up to our standards let alone Paulsons. They cut corners and produced an inferior product even by their standards and educated consumers can clearly see that and are commenting on it(loudly). That's the bottom line. (that's kind of a recap of what I said in my above post)

All my huffing and puffing aside, our Pharaoh's chips are going to be off-the-hook!!!

Thanks to Ten, Johnny 5 and every other Pharaoh's Club group buy contributors for all their efforts. We will still achieve much envy and world acclaim, just not at the level this group of people intended to achieve. Peace my fellow chip freaks.

Fair enough.

While the mold wasn't actually centered, it was moved inward a touch. Here is a more realistic version:

It looks good except for the beetle image. Where'd you get that, off an Styx album?

Now that I see these without the circles - they look better than the stock that Paulson will be selling to the public. In fact, Paulson would be better off getting rid of their labels and using the Pharoh's.

me thinks it was done with intent, so as to prevent any concentric circles from being made since there is no room on the outer edge of the chip, only the inner circle would be possible.

The Orange chip is Quite a lot brighter than the mock-up shown here. It really glows... think Cheez-Whiz.

Yeah, whoever took those photographs of the new Paulsons really missed. The white chip looks almost beige and the purple looks like chocolate. I think anyone who's seen the JB $1000 chip knows that it's almost a day-glo orange.

I've posted pics of the Trademarks in the Pharoahs Group Buy topic. I'm not sure how to take you direct to the post, but follow this link and then scroll down a little and you'll find them:
