TR King Black Sands Non-Edgespot Clays *Formerly Matsui*

Well, it seems as if there is enough interest in this type of chip to start its own thread. Here is the low-down: As seen on a lot of TV events, such as the Heads Up Poker Tournament, there seems to be a new interest in chips with bright colors and no edgespots. A simple black inlay looks great on these chips, and it works perfectly with the bright colors.

Now for the details. Chips will be made by TR King, for around $0.70 a piece (plus shipping and PayPal fees). Our inlay is already decided an final, and we have all of the colors chosen. The chips will be non-denom, and use the following colors:

-Pink
-Light Green
-Light Blue
-Lavendar
-Yellow
-Gray
-White

I would consider jumping in on this group buy as well for 500-600 chips, depending on price and final design (I'd also like to get some samples before making my decision). For what it's worth, I'd probably vote non-denom as well.

Also, I really like Dimes' design a lot better than the Golden Nugget design. The text seems much more sleek and sophisticated (which seems to be the look everyone's going for), while the Golden Nugget font looks a little too large and "Old West" (no offense J5, not that it's your design or anything ) and doesn't really fit with the whole foreign-French thing. Just my opinion.

Edit: And I like the white text/black inlay (rather than colored text). Would look classier IMO.

I figure without denoms or anything else, we can fit more than the normal amount of words on thier as long as it doesnt look crowded and gaudy, but i like the way the french island casino idea is taking off.

I'm really glad we are getting so many replies and interest in these chips, I was wondering how a non edge spot chip would be percieved in this "lots of edge spot" poker we are living in right now, but looking at those palms chips i think they look beautiful and can just imagine puchin my huge stacks of pink gray and green into the middle, if i can qoute the great fcuk SICK!!

"Les" is French. The masculine definite article in Portuguese is "os". But I think the article is not used if the name stands alone, so it would only be "Açores".

Wow guys, just checking in before I have to go out for the day, seems like we have a ton of ideas. I think we should still stick with the black inlay, it really brings the whole set together, but I like the idea of a more exotic location for our casino. Also, are we planning on doing a graphic on the inlay? Or is it going to be just text?
