TR King Black Sands Non-Edgespot Clays *Formerly Matsui*

Well, it seems as if there is enough interest in this type of chip to start its own thread. Here is the low-down: As seen on a lot of TV events, such as the Heads Up Poker Tournament, there seems to be a new interest in chips with bright colors and no edgespots. A simple black inlay looks great on these chips, and it works perfectly with the bright colors.

Now for the details. Chips will be made by TR King, for around $0.70 a piece (plus shipping and PayPal fees). Our inlay is already decided an final, and we have all of the colors chosen. The chips will be non-denom, and use the following colors:

-Pink
-Light Green
-Light Blue
-Lavendar
-Yellow
-Gray
-White

Good... we have one candidate. As long as no one else has a problem, we can get the ball rolling for real on this one. First off though, we have to decided on denoms or nondenoms...

IMO, if you match the color of the writing in the inlay to the color of the chip you run the risk of Easter-egg action. The bright colors get a bit of balance with the white and black inlay.
Nice mockup jonny; change the name of the casino and the font, throw in an exotic locale, and you've got your chip.
Non-denom, non-denom, and also non-denom.

Yeah, my mistake. I was looking at the price for the chips without any inlays, and thought it said without any denoms... I thought we were getting lucky!

So yeah, if its not a problem with anyone, fcuk could be the organizer of this whole thing.

It seems like the general idea is non denom... anyone have any major problems with that?

I (again) say no denom. I am all for matching the chip color with the writing on the inlay, as long as it actually matches. If it is off it will look dumb.

Id say keep the inlays black and white, it will look more simple and consistent.

If we go non-denom for all of them, I'm pretty sure it would cost us $.39 a chip... atleast thats what I'm getting from their website. Also, your chips push us towards 6,000... this is starting to look like a realistic possiblity...

...If we get someone to step up, that is. Like I said before, I have no problem helping, but I just don't think I can run the paypal and collecting the money and distributing the chips... but if one of you guys would do it, it would allow all of us to get these chips!
Lets get communication going withn Jinny first. Get the peice, time frome, view some labels, get some pics sent to us, etc. If it all looks good, and the price is in that .45 range, we can work out the logistics.

So, no denoms, and the colors would be pink, orange, green, gray, purple... if we need a few more, black and light blue would fit this well, as would yellow (as long as it wasn't too close to the orange). I'm thinking the inlays should be black with white text, and should follow the Golden Nugget design, except with our own casino name and location.

Jinny's art department will do up some proofs with options. The ones he made me for the composites only tokk a couple days. WE can get artwork for denom, non-denom, white lettering, orange lettering, whatever we ask for. They also like to do up some of rheir own artwork to show.

Well, you seem to be in contact with him, have you requested any artwork yet?

If not, ask for it in the same design as the Golden Nugget, with no denoms, and in the colors I mentioned in my last post (green, orange, yellow, pink, purple, gray).
