Chips: 53 | | | TR King Black Sands Non-Edgespot Clays *Formerly Matsui* Well, it seems as if there is enough interest in this type of chip to start its own thread. Here is the low-down: As seen on a lot of TV events, such as the Heads Up Poker Tournament, there seems to be a new interest in chips with bright colors and no edgespots. A simple black inlay looks great on these chips, and it works perfectly with the bright colors.
Now for the details. Chips will be made by TR King, for around $0.70 a piece (plus shipping and PayPal fees). Our inlay is already decided an final, and we have all of the colors chosen. The chips will be non-denom, and use the following colors:
-Pink
-Light Green
-Light Blue
-Lavendar
-Yellow
-Gray
-White [/quote] |

Chips: 275 | | | If the design is simple and classy, I would easily order 600 at the price quoted. From Ten%'s review, the Matsui chips sound like a no-brainer (by the way, Ten, your reviews are extremely helpful and very well written). And 5000 seems like a number that would be easy to scrape together.
Some quick thoughts on the denom vs. non-denom issue:
-non-denoms offer ultimate flexibility. Make greens $25, 25c, 2-5 pieces of clothing, 2 drinks...whatever. Denoms will make it very tough for a group-buy to keep its participants happy concerning colors and values...especially considering the non-traditional nature of these brightly colored chips.
-if you have a player at your games who consistently asks "how much are the reds worth?" count yourself lucky as hell. If he/she can't remember 4 numbers that match four colors it's a moot point; all of his/her chips will be gone soon anyway. And for those of you who feel really strongly about the difficulty of remembering denoms, print out a sign and post it on the wall for all to see.
-There are a TON of denom options out there. Name a great quality chipset, with inlays, that is non-denom? |

Chips: 957 | | | I would definitely be interested. Just leaving the dollar sign off is a good option. I also like haveing the denom in some fashion. These are good looking chips, and very high quality. They feel as close to a Paulson as anything out their, very nice chips. |

Chips: 275 | | | Im in for 750-1000 if they stay at that price and if the higher denom tournament chips are more pastel in color like the Heads up tournament chips, how it was in the original post the more pastel colors were the lower denoms. I would also need to feel some of the matsui clay samples, I got some samples from them but they were all bud jones type samples. |

Chips: 39,028 | | | If you have Matsui clays with inlays, please post photos asap! All I have are blurry photos emailed to me by Matsui. |

Chips: 957 | | | Nate, these chips are very very close to Paulson, very nice and well made. At .45 a chip, it's a steal!!!! I would go for at least 750---1000, also. |

Chips: 53 | | | So the count is somewhere near 3,000 right now, but we need someone to organize this whole thing, and to contact Matsui directly about the chips. I think a vote should be in order about the denoms though... it's going to be hard for people to agree on the colors/values of each chip, so it could be easier to just go non-denom. |

Chips: 275 | | | Im all for non-denom as long as the inlay doenst look bare without it, that way we only need 5 colors probably too. |

I haven't seen a Matui clay inlay either. I also wouldn't say the colors are bright - definitely on the pastel side..
