Chips: 53 | | | TR King Black Sands Non-Edgespot Clays *Formerly Matsui* Well, it seems as if there is enough interest in this type of chip to start its own thread. Here is the low-down: As seen on a lot of TV events, such as the Heads Up Poker Tournament, there seems to be a new interest in chips with bright colors and no edgespots. A simple black inlay looks great on these chips, and it works perfectly with the bright colors.
Now for the details. Chips will be made by TR King, for around $0.70 a piece (plus shipping and PayPal fees). Our inlay is already decided an final, and we have all of the colors chosen. The chips will be non-denom, and use the following colors:
-Pink
-Light Green
-Light Blue
-Lavendar
-Yellow
-Gray
-White [/quote] |

Chips: 202 | | I also agree with including the gray (with blue, green, pink, and purple like Murf said).
I really like the name of the casino "Grand Lisse", and I think "Chateau Grand Lisse" >> "Le Grand Lisse" (dunno why, I guess "Le Grand Lisse" reminds me of "Le Big Mac" ).
A couple thoughts about the location. Why not use a real city in Tahiti for the location rather than Tisonnier? I think Tisonnier sounds cool, but it might be weird having a location called "Poker, Tahiti". If I went to a French guy's house and he was using a set of custom chips with an American theme, and his chips said "Poker, USA" on them, I think it wouldn't be that cool. The capital of Tahiti is "Papeete", or you could choose a different city. Here's a map of Tahiti: http://www.tahitinuitravel.com/about/Tahiti/default.asp
Some other islands in French Polynesia:
Bora Bora, Hiva `Oa, Huahine, Maiao, Maupiti, Mehetia, Moorea, Nuku Hiva, Raiatea, Tahaa, Tetiaroa, Tubuai, and Tupai. |

Chips: 7,798 | | | I really like this idea, and the direction of the inlay and theme/name. My only concern would be with no denominations. With non-standard colors, I really think this is important, just like someone mentioned earlier. I think this set would do well with numbers but no $ or ¢ signs. |

Its like saying: Republic of Paris, France. | Actually, it makes some sense in the chip, because it means "Republic of Poker, Tahiti". I like the "republique" in there. Maybe you could take out "Tahiti", then it could just be "Republique Tissonier" = Republic of Poker. |

Chips: 957 | | Let's get mock-ups of both denom's, and non-denom's. Vote on a poll, and then, we all agree to go with the majority vote. It wll take everyone as a chiptalk team, to get the buy done. |

I am saying that Republic of Poker, Tahiti made no sense...
And I agree with bubbafry that if someone had an american set of a fictiional place called Poker, U.S.A. it would be silly.
Château Grand Lisse would look mighty fine with a Euro Symbol
