Chips: 53 | | | TR King Black Sands Non-Edgespot Clays *Formerly Matsui* Well, it seems as if there is enough interest in this type of chip to start its own thread. Here is the low-down: As seen on a lot of TV events, such as the Heads Up Poker Tournament, there seems to be a new interest in chips with bright colors and no edgespots. A simple black inlay looks great on these chips, and it works perfectly with the bright colors.
Now for the details. Chips will be made by TR King, for around $0.70 a piece (plus shipping and PayPal fees). Our inlay is already decided an final, and we have all of the colors chosen. The chips will be non-denom, and use the following colors:
-Pink
-Light Green
-Light Blue
-Lavendar
-Yellow
-Gray
-White [/quote] |

Personally, going with TR King and NOT getting edge spots really seems like a waste to me, but suit yourselves.
To me, most of TR King's value is in the variety of edgespots.
| The idea was to "NOT" get edge-spots. How can there be value in something we didn't want in the first place? | His point is that the reason TRKings have value to him is due to the variety of edge spots they have. That has nothing to do with any value of the Black Sands chip.
TRKing is a great ship. Dennis will do damned near anything you want other than a custom mold. He'll do linen inlays (a huge plus I think), he'll do no inlays or 8 different styles in muliple colors. And he has a GREAT product. I love TRKings. That said, I think the Black Sands chip will not look right with the Crown and Dash mold that TRKing uses. Just like I thought they'd look shoddy with the turtle.
If Matsui says "Sorry bubs. We ain't makin' no freakin' clay chips," well then let's talk TRKing. Until that time, why rush it? |

Chips: 208 | | | I'd pay $1/chip if we could get Murfs design on a quality solid color chip. |

Not exactly confidence inspiring, is it?

I suppose at the same time, I don't want people griping at me if they order some and they chip, crack, get dirty too quickly, etc.
I ordered 200, and got some extras but definitely not 10%. More like somewhere in the narrow range of 4-10.
All that being said, I really want this group buy to work out with Matsui. There's no way I'd be interested with TRKing, and I'd be very doubtful with ASM. |

I'd spring to buy these from Matsui, anywhere under 50 cents a chip, ASM would lack the bright colors I like, and TR King would be too expensive. | | Thread Tools | Search this Thread | | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
