"Four Suits" - Same Inlay, New Look...Tourney & Cash Interest Thread

Alrighty everyone, I'm going to give this another go because:

1. The inlay is sweet
2. The inlay is sweet
3. I want a set of BCC's
4. I want a set of BCC's
5. The inlay is sweet and I want a set of BCC's

This is purely an interest thread at this point. We have the inlay set, it's the "Four Suits" inlay, same as before. (FYI...chips would be around $1/chip if this ever happens to go through, the mold would be the TFP Club mold, the denoms would tentatively be T25, T100, T500, T1000, T5000, 5¢, 25¢, $1, $5, $20, $100)

This time, I'm going to throw out a set of 9 chips for tourney and cash sets.

Below are some initial ideas from myself and others that have had some positive feedback. Based on the feedback (or lack of negative feedback) so far, I think it's safe to say that the Green, Black, Lavender, Yellow (colors, not edge spot yet) are all staying as is for right now...Nothing is set in stone though, so these could change if needed.

I think the biggest question marks at this point are:
1. The current pink chip - Should the edge spots be: sherbert & grey? sherbert & charcoal? all plum? something else?
2. The White 4t18 w/ mauve, almond, plum vs. the White 614 w/ light blue & royal red???
3. A dolphin blue base chip (414? 3t18?, 4d14?)
4. The TRK Red 618 w/ grey & black that jj83 posted
5. Black 4t18...Should it be a Charcoal base???

See the thread for all the mock-ups...update to come!!!

This custom ChipTalk link is built to show you only the real deal: Casino quality poker chips; Not the plastic chips that some sellers call "clay."

I would suggest not making overlapping tourney/cash denoms. That way if someone wants to do a 5-25-100-500-1000 tourney set he/she can. Or if someone wants a $25 cash chip they can get that as well. Just put currency signs on all of them for better flexibility imo...

Here's another one which I personally like a lot. Maybe switch the pink spot for something else but other than that... didn't mock a blue chip for this one:

EDIT: Oh yeah... I'd be interested in just a small HU set at this point (100 chips)

This pic I got from the previous thread and really like the bottom row here. This would prolly be my favorite I have seen. I also like the look of the bottom row in the post above me from jj83.

If this ever gets going I would probably be in for 600-800 set. Somewhere in there.

^Agree. The $25, $100 and even possibly $500 should fit cash and tourney people.

I think I agree on this as well, even though I would rather have separate tourney and cash denoms because I like my tourney denoms to be currency free!

This will also end up cutting back a little on the cost for the inlay artwork fee from BCC.

I think we'll probably end up putting the white options, two yellow options, pink options, & two chocolate options up for a poll. But let's see what other comments come out.

Thoughts:
What about a 414818 for the white chip? I feel like it needs to be that or the 614 for it to fit in.
How would you feel about the pink back to a 414 but w/ sky blue & plum? Maybe make the pink a 418 & the choco a 414?

I think the pink edge spot config and the white chip are the only two out of these that don't knock me off my feet.

I do like the bottom row of the pic below (even though I'd like to add a second edge spot color to the pink chip and make the yellow a 4a12 like the Aria chip!):

The only reason I steered away from the 6A14 on the white was Meddler's warning about the high % of split spots (went to check PatoLanda's pics and I agree it's something that can't simply be dismissed)

At any rate I mocked up your suggestions along with some minor tweaks I made (the blue chips are with your favourite colors if not spot config I believe):

CASH DENOMS: Your suggestions

CASH DENOMS: My tweaks

TOURNEY DENOMS: Yours above, mine below

Of course calling these either cash or tourney set mocks is sort of stupid as the chips are completely interchangeable with different inlays but whatever

Re: the pink chip.

I see your point about making it a 2-color spotted chip. Truthfully it was bothering me a bit as well with just plum spots.

Re: "Four Suits" - Same Inlay, New Look...Tourney & Cash Interest Thread

Yeah, those split spots are unfortunate on the 6a14...I really like the look of that chip, and think it fits good with the rest as well.

You know, I don't know that I could turn down any of the options so far. At this point, my preferences are:

4a12 yellow
4a14 pink w/ gray as one of the spots
6a14 white

However, the alternates so far wouldn't keep me from purchasing either.

It seems like the biggest thing the set needs right now is a blue chip.

Should we try to get all the other chips pretty set and then poll a few different blue chips or focus on a blue chip to fit with the options we have now???

Honestly I don't think doing a ton of polls isn't going to help this thing get started. There'd have to be a lot more interested buyers for polls to be of use.

Everyone can play around with different blue chips (and others) in this thread and when everything looks right, do one poll with a few different chip sets but no individual chips or 2-3 chip combos.

That's my two cents anyway.
