Custom Modiano Cards - Art Submission deadline July 4th!

07/07/08:

I started a poll to decide the back art:

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/group-...tml#post765018

06/24/08:

Well, it looks we're just over 1/3rd of the way to the 200 requirement regardless of back design.

I think it may be prudent to settle on a back design to see if we can hit the 200 mark.

How about we set a deadline for another week or two for art submissions. I'll then start up a poll on all the submissions and we'll vote for a favorite.

So, if no one is opposed to the idea:

how about noon on July 4th for a deadline for the artwork submissions?

Some baseline criteria:

The minimum order for custom cards from Modiano is 500. The distributor (Brybelly Holdings) is willing to put through an order for us if we can collectively hit at least 200 setups (they'll take the remainder of the order as inventory).

Thus we need a design that has broad appeal. This means no specific logos/wording/etc..

Here are the details:

Custom Modianos!!

The commitment is fairly reasonable - 300 setups!

And the price is good: $12-$13/setup + shipping <- could be lower if we could hit 500

TImeline: approx. 100 days after artwork approval (this is a bit lengthy due to surface freight - air freight would make the price significantly higher)

I was thinking we should go for something unique:

1) Bridge size
2) 4 color
3) 4 pip

I'm not very good at artwork so I'm hoping some of the talented folks here at CT would be able to whip up something great for a back design.

So... who's interested?

Re: Custom Modiano Cards - Who's interested?

For clarification, does "four color" refer to the printing process? I've also seen "four color" cards that use red, black, blue, & green for the different suits. Just checking.

I assumed 4 colour deck was red, black, blue and green for each suit.

I knew you'd like those specs!

I really hope we can get enough interest to make this a go.

I'm not too sure on this - I believe it will be the double black plastic box with cardboard sleeve (similar to copag & kem). I'll verify this though.
