Matsui 43mm chip rack GB interest

The Matsui racks are the only 43mm rack I am aware of that fit a standard birdcage (see thumbnails below and more pictures here: http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/group-...#post606647%29

This is the only rack Matsui makes, so it fits 39mm chips as well, presumably just not as tightly. The rack is essentially two identical halves that snap shut and it fits in the cage with the lid on, so you can protect your chips a little better. ASM 44mms "sort of" fit in these cases. Quick update. Matsui has suggested they may be able to ship it cheaper via EMS. I am currently waiting for a new shipping quote from the factory. I'll wait until we know whether the 44mm ASMs fit before placing any order.

FWIW looks like about 100 cases worth of interest so far.

They didn't say, but I'm guessing it's either the international delivery service of the Universal Postal Union or a yuppie outdoor clothing store. It doesn't really matter to me as long as their rates are cheaper than FedEx.

Alright, sorry for the lapse in contact here, but Matsui's been a little slow on the shipping quotes, plus I've been trying to find out if the ASM 44mms fit these cases (we'll know soon, I hope). Short answer on shipping is that Matsui gets a discount from FedEx, so they are the cheapest.

Since we have interest for about 100 cases, the per case price will be about $6.50. Also, since these cases are bulky, but light, domestic shipping will be a little tricky to forecast - between $5-$15, depending.

If you are paying by Paypal, I am willing to let folks pay the $6.50 per case up front, then invoice the actual shipping costs when the cases ship. However, if you want to just pay all at once I will be happy to guesstimate a shipping charge based on your location and number of cases. If you are paying by personal check or money order, I will ask that you pay the domestic shipping up front based on my estimate. I am confident my guess will be within a dollar or so of actual shipping costs.

I'll PM everyone who's replied here shortly. Anyone else who wants cases reply here or PM me. I've added up the interest here and tacked on maybe 20 extra cases as a cushion. After those on the list have had a chance to respond, it will be first come first served 'til they are gone.

I've PMed everyone here, so if you didn't get yours, or deleted it, or couldn't be bothered to read it, contact me and we'll straighten it out. Of those who replied, I have almost all payments banked. Thank you all for your prompt remittances. Once I have all the money together, I will pay for the order and get things moving. I am 90% sure this will happen before the end of the week. After that, I have zero idea how long it will take for all the wheels to turn over at Matsui. I will post updates here.

As of now, there are about 30 cases that are not yet spoken for. I will keep an inventory of the remaining cases in the original post in case some interested stragglers come along.

Weekend update: I am currently waiting on payment instructions from Matsui. I think there are a couple levels of communication required to process this, which is why it is taking so long. Stay strong. We will get through this.
