Gauging interest: New PNY dealer button

The PNY dealer buttons that were made back in the day are pretty hard (not to mention expensive) to get a hold of these days. Here's the original GB thread http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/group-...-underway.html

I thought about finding out if we could redo those buttons, but I guess it wouldn't be fair to people who have paid a lot to get one. So how about a brand new design? Johnny5 is designing a DB based on a photo. Looks like we'll do three buttons instead of just one!

These will be Palm Import's ceramic buttons (with rolling edges). Current mock-ups:

We will do a bounty chip too! PI's 43mm chips should work well because of their large printable area. Mock-up:

Re: Gauging interest: New PNY dealer button

Put me down for 3 dealer buttons, esp if they are Matsui jetons! I'd still be interested if they are not Matsui's, but would be a bit less excited

BCC are out of the question since they would not entertain the exisitng PNY Commemorative GB (Probug thread).

If ASM can do the the Grand inlay on the hourglass mold would be cool. I would prefer to have clay's as opposed to ceramics.
ASM chips would be very different from the PNY chips in looks and feel, so I'd go with ceramics to keep the set looking consistent, especially if we end up getting ceramic dealer buttons.

LOL yes now I can just write PNY on some coasters and sell them to people at a premium.

Well this is just the interest thread. And it's telling us there is interest.

Re: Gauging interest: New PNY dealer button

I would possibly be interested in 1-3 buttons and 10-20 bounty chips. Depending on design and price, of course.

Re: Gauging interest: New PNY dealer button

I would be interested in a button or 2 and maybe some bounty chips. The thing for me would be what image would be used for the buttons/chips. Personally, I would like to see a highly recognizable place such as the Statue of Liberty, World Trade Center or Empire State Building. Nothing says "New York" like those 3 places!

i think all these sights are on the "real PNY" chips.they want to have a new sight.

but wait for the design by J5 or fins. i dont think they will use my design...

I still stand by this, and I'd be fine with any of those sights mentioned by FlopZnuts.
