BCC group inlay buy

12/10/07 Update

Inlay Group Buy
Well there's some exciting news. First the inlay. Dave will allow us to chip (ha!) in for a inlay that can be used on whatever chips you want. 5 denoms for $300 in effect. If we can get ten people in that would mean $30 a person (twenty folks means $15,etc. etc). The more the merrier. Not too shabby. Machinelf has come up with these which I think are excellent. Generic enough anyone could like, with just enough spice to make 'em desireable. We can tweak, but keep in mind this needs to be usuable by a group of vaired folks. The denoms will be 25/100/500/1000/5000 which I think gives the most bang for the buck as it were. If there's enough interest we can set up a second buy for the .25/.50/5/20/Blank (or whatever). If you take place in this buy you can use this inlay in perpetuity (with BCC only and subject to standard minimums and restrictions).

Machinelf just requires samples for his time, so if you agree to this you are agreeing to give him two sample sets of whatever you get. Stone cold bargain.

Two versions below. #1 has a shaded background but is white where the denom is, so we think this will pass muster:

Now for the really exciting news.

Special Chip Sale
Blue Chip are clearing out the vaults. Until they run out and there will be no more, BCC will be selling some partially made chips (they are just waiting on an inlay, see below). There are many colors and spot patterns available, some only available through this buy. Since the chips are already made, as soon as the inlay is printed they can be pressed and shipped so this should move rather quickly. The details:

.70/each.
Standard weight (8.5g) only
Flame mold only
Minimum order of 300 chips.
Minimum of 100 per color.
First come, first serve until they are gone. First come is based on payment.
No extras will be made. If there are 216 of something that's all you can get. If there are 1,016 that's all you can get.
Quantities vary from a couple hundred to "several boxes".
These chips can not be hotstamped.
If you want to add on in the future you will have to do so at standard minimums and prices and only for the exact chip you had made

White

Blue

Red

Green

Black

Purple

Yellow

Pink

Orange

Others

I don't have exact color descriptions or quantities at the moment, but you should be able to figure out what's going on from the above. I have the gigantic 2K x 1K photos where you can see some of the spots haven't been pressed yet. I post one or two of those later. I also have a Excel file with all of the chips numbered and an approximate description to help with ease of ordering.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Original post below:

I've been thinking about getting a tournament set of BCC chips (because hey we all need more chips right?) but didn't want to splash out too much extra cash for art fees. Since tournies for me a very secondary I'm not as worried about the security/cutomized end of things figuring the chip patterns will work good enough for that.

To that end does anyone else feel like splitting art fees for something very generic to mitigate costs? Everyone would be left to their own devices as far as purchasing the actual chips.

I've not run this by BCC yet, though I can't imagine they'll have much of a problem with this. Wanted to see if there's enough interest to make it worth while.

Text:

Tournament
Denom
No Cash Value

Denoms 25/100/500/1000/5000 to take advantage of the 5/$300 deal (if that's still going on). If so we'd just divide the $300 by all participants.

I don't know if we could spice this up by seeing if we could have a custom card club specific inlay on one side and the above on the other, but I'll ask if we have enough interest.

Anyone want me to pursue this?

I didnt see these posted anywhere, but would love to see them. The chip manufacturing process is so cloaked that any tidbits are intriguing to me.

The two inlays are basically the choices for that part of the buy. Well one of them

As far as chips you can get your own with the normal BCC restrictions on base colors, spot patterns, minimums, etc.

or

You can get the special price on the already built chips that are just waiting on inlay.

or

You could put your own inlay on one of the ready built chips subject to BCC inlay restrictions & pricing.

But the thrust here is the GB for inlay. The cheap chip part is just gravy.

Re: BCC group inlay buy

I wanna get in on the inlays. Any idea what the color combos are on the chip in the top right corner of the "Others" chips picture?

Re: BCC group inlay buy

Not sure, I'm guessing some sort of Peach. It's not Arc Yellow (those are to the left).

Of interest to some here:

http://www.chiptalk.net/forum/holdem...i-customs.html

Possible semi custom Tmold buy. Could be combined with what we do here.
