I Rather like the look of this.
Anyone interested in running a group buy of this nature (because I have no clue how its done)? and are the good people of chip-talk remotely interested in spending a lot of money for the classiest chip set ever to be group bought?
Also, any ideas and interest please post here. This can be turned into a proper group buy thread if someone, with more skill and organisation than I, fancies setting it up.

They do just look at all the paulson home chips on the market but they are very limited in who they'll deal with (trademark poker mostly I believe), what chips are available (only paulson's I believe) and what colors/styles of those chips are available.

Last I heard, minimum order was like 250k - 500k chips but you get a good price of less than $1ea.

I don't think that this will work out. The volumes from GPI are way too high for any one group, even one as large as CT to make a dent in the minimum. The Pharaoh's were probably a one-time shot.

Sure would be nice though. I've got a great collection of B&G's from the ACF and I'd love to have a custom set. Oh well... One can dream I guess.

What a daunting task trying to get 250k+ chips accounted for.....

While it's fun to think about (and I'd get in on this), I doubt it will EVER happen.

I din't realise just how unrealistic this was.
To be honest my main interest was in the plaques which are alot nicer than matsui's. Shame though, I would have loved a really quirky set like with say $25chips, a large $500 jeton and $2.5k and $10k plaques. Anyone interested in that as an idea... I guess matsui plaques aren't that bad.

Does anyone know waht the minimum order for plaques are from matsui and GPI?

Matsui has a 100 plaque minimum order, and they will cost anywhere from $10-$17 each with the art fees.

As stated before, I doubt you will get GPI to make custom plaques.

Never gonna happen. Commercial vendors have tried and they said no. GPI does not care about the home market, we are mosquitoes to them. They make their money from casino customers and don't need us unfortunately.
