ARE THERE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR FINALIZING THE DESIGN?









PRICING DETAILS -

$1.20/chip + $300 art fee(per denom) - 43mm 3 color chips
Plaque pricing will be determined when we have sizes finalized.


What this means to you -
At 1000 chips per denom ordered , your per chip price is $1.50 & and at 2000 chips ordered it would $1.35/chip.
At 100 jetons ordered, your per jeton price is $10.00

I would like a plaque for my cash set. It could be a NVC or a $20.00 plaque.

I think a NVC/$20.00 Zen Plaque in green would work well with a samurai cash set.

Josh, what is the going rate for plaques now?

I think that the little ones (Zen/BS size) are going to push the $10/plaque mark with the increased pricing on chips/plaques and artwork fees.

At 100 plaques, with the new pricing, it would be atleast $10.50/plaque.


I need to confirm the new pricing with Jin.

I'd be up for a cash set to be honest. Would like to see the multiple fractionals like the Blue Sands but have maybe a $100 plaque or larger chip.

As for design, I like the idea of kanji but I think it'd be cool to be minimal in terms of words.

I know this will be like a free for all of ideas at first, so I will try to keep the OP updated with things that seem to be liked/wanted by a majority of the posters.

I would be up for a cash set - If there is to be a tourney set desgined I would highly recomend going all 433mm like the Blue sands. It is a very cool set for tournies (see the blue sands pic thread for updated pics of the chips).

As for the cash set I think the denoms come down to the GB participants. My guess is multiple fractionals (as already stated) and a realistic rebuy chip like a $20. I would want to see a 43mm chip for the $20.

As fr colors - I lean toward brighter colors like the cali colors. Matsui does a phenominal job with them too.

Simple theme for the inlay art would be awesome. I like the idea of a Kanji, but I think the oriental theme has been done to much between the Zens and HPC's samaris there are enough out there. We should come up with something else IMO. Maybe a "Sin city" or "Chip paradise" type theme (just throwing out some ideas).

I personally don't have an opinion on the mold progresion. Obviously if we can;t use certain molds for the 43mm chips and we go that route then the mold progresion will be dictated to us.

Just a few of my intial thoughts. Looking forward to seeing this project grow

Nice PDF find Josh!!!!!

If a plaque is made I would love to see it in an unusal/unique shape like the oval or corner cut. That being said - I don't necesarily need a plaque in the cash set but it may be an excellent option

The little round Jetons could be a cool $20, and I really love the oval plaques.

I would be in for a cash set as well. I would like a $20 plaque, but we should stay realistic and maybe just make it an oversized chip or something to that effect. If we could do plaques they should be the same as the bond 500k credit card sized.

I would like to see more or less standard colours, maybe a few different. not crazy about cali. the paradise theme was kinda just done by blue sands.

I love the "sin city" idea for a theme. something kinda like the blue sands inlay would work great (I have an idea in my head). As much as I love the oriental stuff, it's getting overdone.

As I stated in the previous thread, I'd love to be the go-to-guy as far as design goes. I've been craving a big project like this and feel I can do them justice. Let me know if I can jump on board JD!
