The Next Matsui Group Buy Discussion Thread - MOCKUPS WITH THE NEW MOLD!!!......

1.8.2008 - UPDATE:

The mockups listed below will likely be the final design, with one exception, fading on the lion head. (See polls below)''

They are 43mm chips and plaques of various sizes by Matsui Gaming Machine. Pricing is listed below.

THESES ARE THE CURRENT CONCEPTS FOR THE 20 AND 100 PLAQUES FOR THE CASH SET.
THEY WILL NOT HAVE "JOSHUA DALTON" ON THEM, SO DON'T GET YOUR UNDIES IN A BUNCH.

ARE THERE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR FINALIZING THE DESIGN?

PRICING DETAILS -

$1.20/chip + $300 art fee(per denom) - 43mm 3 color chips
Plaque pricing will be determined when we have sizes finalized.

What this means to you -
At 1000 chips per denom ordered , your per chip price is $1.50 & and at 2000 chips ordered it would $1.35/chip.
At 100 jetons ordered, your per jeton price is $10.00

Josh what's the "Threshold" on plaques? If the qty needed is lower maybe that is something that a few people can get if they desire (designer approved of course since they will need art created for them). It is interesting to see the need for the higher denoms brought up. I would be curious to know how often they get used (if made and bought). While the concept of the really larg T value tournies is great - reality is that most players (At least the ones I play with) would rather keep the denoms smaller and just plat poker. Not that there is naything wrong with the higher denom torunies - it is just what I have experienced

This custom ChipTalk link is built to show you only the real deal: Casino quality poker chips; Not the plastic chips that some sellers call "clay."

Minimum order of 100 on plaques/jetons.

How about something based on the Aviation Club (cash and tournaments)?

I would be interested in a cash set.

Standard colors

40mm: 1, 5
43mm: 20
plaque: 100, 500 (hey, I can dream right?)

My vote:

- An all 43mm Cash set
- $20 Oval Plaque
- Artistic designed theme such as the Zens with more picture, less writing

I sold my Zen set, and missed the Blue Sands buy, so I am really looking forward to this buy....Here's hoping its all worth it

Re: The Next Matsui Group Buy Discussion Thread......

I would love a cash set that used the following chips. This would allow the set to be a little more "clean" then using the molds that have the "crowns"

I'm a huge fan of 320-D.

The biggest concern I have when considering Matsui is when some of thier chips have edgespots that are so big and frequent that a green chip with yellow edgespots appears yellow with green spots when stacked.

The inner ring chips (320-D & 340-C) are only available to casinos.

We have yet to use the chips with crowns, so I doubt they will be used on this one, since most people don't like them.

The pricing will be atleast .05-.10/chip more than the previous GB's as Matsui has just raised their prices for chips and artwork fees. Jin is out of the office, but will get back to me soon with an estimated price list.

There is no minimum for orders within the GB, but the total order will have to reach 10,000 chips and each denom must hit 1,000 chips. I can get Jin to play with the 1,000/denom number and allow a lower number, but only if it's on a couple denoms.
