The Next Matsui Group Buy Discussion Thread - MOCKUPS WITH THE NEW MOLD!!!......

1.8.2008 - UPDATE:

The mockups listed below will likely be the final design, with one exception, fading on the lion head. (See polls below)''

They are 43mm chips and plaques of various sizes by Matsui Gaming Machine. Pricing is listed below.

THESES ARE THE CURRENT CONCEPTS FOR THE 20 AND 100 PLAQUES FOR THE CASH SET.
THEY WILL NOT HAVE "JOSHUA DALTON" ON THEM, SO DON'T GET YOUR UNDIES IN A BUNCH.

ARE THERE ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR FINALIZING THE DESIGN?

PRICING DETAILS -

$1.20/chip + $300 art fee(per denom) - 43mm 3 color chips
Plaque pricing will be determined when we have sizes finalized.

What this means to you -
At 1000 chips per denom ordered , your per chip price is $1.50 & and at 2000 chips ordered it would $1.35/chip.
At 100 jetons ordered, your per jeton price is $10.00

Nobody is going like this ideal.
But, IMO, One of the best looking sets out is the Suicide King set.
Could we try something similiar but better??

Drake
this sounds fun and sort of poker themed. Let's not just rehash it tho.

We could probably come up with something original that's pretty cool.

Re: The Next Matsui Group Buy Discussion Thread......

I'm a noob....a real big noob when it comes to poker chips.

One thing I will say however is that I love Bud Jones chips. In the small time that I have been a chip enthusiast, the only chips in the home market that will ever (currently) get close to Bud Jones in terms of looks are Matsui's.

The recent WSOP's and Blue Sand sets are stunning, and show just how great simple inlay's and smart colour choices help turn out something special.

Some of the more simple chip/edgespot combinations on that Chip sheet () really could create something much like a real Bud Jones casino chip.

I for 1 would love both a tourney & cash set, simple inlay perhaps like the Maxamillions:

I think a 20-30's simple inlay theme would rock.

Re: The Next Matsui Group Buy Discussion Thread......

i've been lurking around here for quite some time now, waiting for another Matsui group buy to come up, and i'm real excited to see what you guys can come up with this time. id like to get a hold of some samples, though, before i go and commit to 1k of these things. does anyone have a sample set for sale or a few extra chips you'd be willing to part with? i would like to get my hands on about 10 so i can get a feel for how well they shuffle and splash.

thanks

The posting of the maximillions gives me an idea....

What does everyone think about Black Inlays?

Josh: Is gold foiling on the inlay possible?

This is what I was thinking. This could be the 1st black inlay on a matsui GB. Like I said, that would work great with the "Summer Eclipse" theme.

I am opposed to these Maximillion Black Inlays and especially if gold foil is added. I already have almost 2400 Matsuis and that would compell me to buy 800 -1000 more. Inlays like that would be too much to resist.
