I asked Cathy if we could get prototypes made and scanned to see what they look like. Unfortunately, this is just too costly and time-consuming, so they don't (generally) do it. I can't afford to buy a pile of chips and then try to sell them to whoever might want them, so I'm afraid they'll have to be purchased "site unseen". This is normal for group-buys - same as the BCC/Sidepot Proteges (greatly delayed but delivered recently) and Matsui Zens (also recently), BCC/HPC Samurais (> 1 year ago), Paulson Pharoahs (a million years ago), etc. Unless a company decides to carry these chips (i.e. order a bunch and stock them for retail sale after the original group-buy is over), there won't be the opportunity to see them before they arrive at your door... and even in that case, you'll have to pay retail price after the original group-buy.
(The only way to get group-buy pricing is to get in on the ground floor, as you're effectively helping make the bulk-purchase - with bulk-discount - happen)
But ask anybody here: ASMs quality control is 2nd-to-none! Inlays will be aligned to the edge spots (not done on any other compression-molded clay chip); their colours are consistent from batch-to-batch, year-to-year. They made the movie props for Rounders (among other movies), and these will be made using the same process, same colour and texture of materials (including the metal "flecks"), same attention to detail... Just the mold and inlay graphic are different (along with "fantasy" high-denomination chip colours), and even the inlay was designed to have the same "look and feel" as the Teddy KGB chips.
They'll look (not surprisingly) a lot like these:
