We played with Matthews set last night. Very nice chips...I swear they feel different than current ASM's. When you splash them they have a softer sound.

Yes, chips are simply tools of the trade. I like them, but actually playing is where it is at. If many of you guys spent as much time learning to play, and actually playing as you did fantasizing about "fantasy chips" you could really make some $.

actually they are not fantasy chips.

and poker is how i fund my chip purchases. every set is courtesy of another player - and so noted.

Some of us do both. I buy my chips with the money I win at poker. I've never used a credit card to buy chips, only cash. It's a rule I have and stick to.

It could be because they've had time to cure? I believe they said these were made in 2005.
